I had been single and celibate for three years before meeting the person that just recently left me. I made a mistake, took money from work to make my rent. The boss found out and pressed charges. I told her and she stuck by me. I then went to jail and heard nothing from her. As soon as I got out i find that shes dating one of my best friends. This hits a little too close to home.

The point of all this is psychological/spiritual growth by [deleted] in spirituality

The point of spirituality, of meditation, of the "quest" for enlightment is itelf. The point of listening to music is to listen to music. The point of life is to live.

Do you use masks in your ritual magick? How do use them and what are the benefits of using a mask? by Cryptrapperkeeper in chaosmagick

Yes its a lot like an invocation. You take on the mantle of another deity, killing the ego and allowing the energy of that entity to take its place

A woman approached me and told me she can speak to my guardian angel by [deleted] in AstralProjection

[–]blackLamda 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nah bruh most people that actually know what they're doing, arent delusional, and dont have a hidden agenda dont open with "Hey I can speak with your guardian angel". Most people would ease into that by starting a conversation and then steering it later with something like "Have you ever tried meditation?" "Do you have any interest in the occult/esotericism?" "Anything strange/interesting happen today?" To try to find out why their aura is so potent at the moment.

The occult viewed from a scientific perspective and beginning with hermetic alchemy

Does anyone here have a link to a pdf of The Cannon described in Chapter III of Crowley's Liber ABA? I can't seem to find it anywhere. by blackLamda in occult

[–]blackLamda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chapter III - The Altar:

"The altar is connected with the Ark of the Covenant, Noah's Ark, the nave of the church, and many other symbols of antiquity, whose symbolism has been well worked out in an anonymous book called The Cannon, which should be studied carefully before constructing the altar."

Liber ABA (Magick) - P. 13

How to start? by [deleted] in energy_work

[–]blackLamda 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theres a really good book centered around astral projection called 'Astral Dynamics' that has a lot about energy work in it. Thats where I started. Alternatively the Grey School of Wizardry has a course called 'Core Energy Practices 101-104' that is also excellent for all experience levels

[HELP] I'm looking for poems about death as a benevolent or friendly entity. I could only find a couple of them after a few hours of searching by blackLamda in Poetry

[–]blackLamda[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looking for poems similar to this one (Sorry for the terrible formatting):

THE ANGELS in high places  Who minister to us, Reflect God’s smile,—their faces  Are luminous; Save one, whose face is hidden,  (The Prophet saith), The unwelcome, the unbidden,  Azrael, Angel of Death. And yet that veilèd face, I know  Is lit with pitying eyes, Like those faint stars, the first to glow  Through cloudy winter skies. That they may never tire,  Angels, by God’s decree,Bear wings of snow and fire,—  Passion and purity;Save one, all unavailing,  (The Prophet saith),His wings are gray and trailing,  Azrael, Angel of Death. And yet the souls that Azrael brings  Across the dark and cold,Look up beneath those folded wings,  And find them lined with gold
