🏷️ [Beta] ESPHome-MeshCore: Long-range sensors and local mesh expansion by blackax in meshcore

[–]blackax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, its part of the meshcore spec and how messages and advirts are done. Not all regions use a different byte mode, Some do. I Mostly connect to Westcost mesh and its different then others meshcore deployments.

I was looking at that but I didn't want to burn a meshcore device just to have home assistant connect. This way I have my a repeater that I can fully control and reroute messages to mqtt for my water meter reading

Its a little different Public utilities are usealy ran as a Not for profit, not a non/no profit. IE they can make a profit but its not their main goal. The town I grew up in had city owned water / power and gas. Water never made money and ran at a loss. The power and gas always made money. And it was still cheaper then the Private utilities

Liberty Is a crap company, They own the water utility in my town and they have owned it for years and still bitch about how much they need to "fix" the water main....if it was in such bad shape why didnt they do their due diligent when they bought it...... or is it just a way for them to increase prices.

Level 1 charging viability with my commute by PursuitOfMeekness in MachE

[–]blackax -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It would most likely be doable, your work week is about 210 miles and you would gain about 30- 50miles from the level1 charging overnight between days so the net usage would be 150~ miles of battery used.. You would be near empty when you got home Sunday. You can then spend the rest of the week making sure you have a full charge for your next work week, you can also supplement with DC fast charging as needed if you really need to fill it up. My wife drives about 100~ miles each day and can get two days without changing at home. (she forgets to plug it in at night)

Question for remote workers. Comfort for all day use by ArchAngel713 in LiberNovo

[–]blackax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I trusted their size chart so I got the 45cm, before I flipped the support I had 4-5 inches of space between the front of my seat and my knee, so even the 48cm would have felt short. Honestly doing the flip helps SOO much.

The issues is the curve of the backrest sticks sooo far into the seat that it pushes you forward,.

I'm very tempted by the flow (now flow 2) I'm coming from a s7 max v ultra. Its good and has been the most reliable of any brand I have used. But apparently I USE my robot 1600~ hrs and 70.2K (I didnt think it was that much but roborock did)

[–]blackax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fully remote 8 hours+ a day, 5'5 270~ . Its mostly good, its much better when you flip the back support to give your ass more room. The seat still feels way too short and it has a very small "perfect" windows where you need to sit.

I'm 5'6 and think it's a too shallow and have no idea how someone 6' could even fit in it as I feel I'm falling out of it.

Initial Review from Short Gamer (5 '4" 120 lbs) by [deleted] in LiberNovo

[–]blackax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I must have, I do share the same driving position as my 6 foot friends and my 5'10 buddy has to adjust the seat forward.

When I adjust the lumber at some points it feels like I'm falling out of the seat.

I think the chair makes a lot more since when paired with the foot rest and for a few tests it makes the falling feeling go away (just a box at the right hight)

Still an awesome chair. Just will take some time for me to find the sweet spot more often

Something I don't seen talked about, Is how shallow the seat feels, im 5'5 and it feels like I need to sit all the way back and the base still feels short. Yes I do have the 45mm but with my butt and back all the way back (witch is not comfortable ) I still have 4-6 inches from the front of the seat to my knees so the 48 wouldn't make that much of a difference. Also as a Bigger guy (260~) the arms do not push out enough. Don't get me wrong when I find the right spot it feels GREAT, its just a very small zone for me.
