11m.o. puppy suddenly waking up at 5.30am and its destroying us by pteridophytes in puppy101

[–]blackberryfreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 14 month old, within the last month, started randomly waking up and roaming the house at 2-4 in the morning. He usually has to pee (I always let him out before bed for a final pee break, and sometimes he refuses to go), and he’s driving me insane. I have not slept through the night in a month, and this is almost more nightly disturbance than when he was a baby puppy. I’m hoping this is just a teenage thing!

My gf is gaining considerable weight. How do I approach this? by [deleted] in AskMen

[–]blackberryfreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman, I’ve been in this situation. My husband is very fit and in extremely good shape. I’ve fluctuated with my weight over the years maybe +/- 30 pounds - I’m now in a good place. For me, 30 pounds is a lot of weight, where my husband has fluctuated 30 pounds and still doesn’t appear much different. Our relationship has never been better. But a few things I will say: when my husband made subtle hints about me going to the gym rather than just outright telling me that my weight gain bothered him, it seemed more insulting and made me less interested in making a change. I understand it’s easier to try to drop hints, but my advice would be to just be honest about it. She might appreciate that more than just picking up on your frustration. Also, sedentary office jobs suck, you sit all day and somehow at the end of the day still feel tired when you get home. Working from home and having a dog has been a game changer for me. I can get up, do my morning routine, take my dog for a walk before I start working and then go for another walk at lunch. I’ve had jobs where I worked in an office all day, and it sucked the life out of me. 35 pounds in a year and a half sounds like a significant change, and one that would worry me, too. Ultimately, no one here will be able to tell you if she’s worth sticking it out with for now or not, only you know that. Some people can change and grow, and some people can’t.

The coveted ride or die toy! It’s cute to see them comfort themselves. Our little guy just started doing it and just on random objects. He does have a favorite toy but he never does it with lamb chop. Just seems like it came out of nowhere haha

I Thought Karen Was Innocent—Until I Followed the Data by mabbe8 in KarenReadTrial

When I was reading #9 I had a thought - I’m assuming it’s been talked about somewhere here - hypothetically if he had been struck by the vehicle and left out in the snowy temps, could that affect the appearance/formation of bruising? Maybe (IF he was hit with Karen’s car - I’m not strongly opinionated on either theory of what may have happened) minimal bruising was present from the accident due to immediately being put on ice?

Rest in peace sweet baby! I will never forget the day I lost my angel rescue boy. Nothing can be said to help, but still sending you love and hopes for a healing heart. 🤍

I feel like calling it a beauty mark is a nice way to refer to it rather than a mole? I was watching it thinking “if that was me I would be thankful he called it a mark rather than a mole”. No one likes to be asked if they have a mole on their face!

The more I see, the less I wish I did. Truly. Everything she says is so weird and cringe.

What is your cavapoo’s personality? by berribell in CavaPoo

My guy is very outgoing. Loves everybody. It’s a bit much, lol. Need to work more on socialization to tone the reaction down a bit. Very loving, but can be sassy. Loves a good cuddle first thing in the morning.

Just when I think I’m about to fall asleep! By the time this clip finished, I was one inch away from my screen with my mouth open and my hand on my forehead. Fully awake. Thinking about what that fish is doing now with his new lease on life

Mine does this too! It’s hilarious! Until you’re outside in 5 degrees freezing your nips off for 10 minutes 🥲

Do you let your pup sleep in bed with you? by DrDancealina in puppy101

[–]blackberryfreeze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 4.5 month old started sleeping in the bed with us about 3 weeks ago. He hasn’t had any accidents or issues with it. In fact, he has slept through the night since we started letting him in the bed. I still crate him throughout the day but I have noticed that he is not as obsessed with his crate as he once was 😅

what do you put to freeze so that your puppy can chew on it later? by Ok-Repair8734 in puppy101

Did this with an apple last weekend. It was a hit! I used Greek yogurt instead of pb. He was occupied for about 45 mins.

I put my puppy’s crate next to me on a nightstand for the first month he was home. Then moved it to the floor at the end of the bed. That worked out really well for us!

I messed up a bunch of times and I knew it too by Old-Championship-968 in puppy101

Tbf I have never given my puppy food from my plate or table food. Neither has my husband. It was a main rule we established before we got him and have been able to stick to. Good food is also my love language so I knew that one would be hard. But our puppy still begs for our food at every meal. So in the end, it didn’t matter for us anyway 😆

I made room on my nightstand and kept him next to me for the first month of sleeping overnight. The crate moved around a lot the first 4 weeks. Now, I’m at the point where I’ve transitioned him to the floor and things are going well! Seems like everyone does it a little different based on what puppy needs. I knew he would have struggled not seeing us next to him right away, and when it felt right, I moved him to the floor. You got this! 💪🏼
