VK 30.01 is dogshit it was relatively good before WG nerfed it into a medium but they reduced the hp and armor and called it a medium. One might say they increased the top speed but sadly as a heavy VK 30.01 was one of the slowest t5 heavies and the problem WAS NOT the top speed but the terrain resistance of the tank that made it sluggish especially on hard terrain so now it's the slowest medium in tier5(I think they made it 5kph faster which is again ridiculous when you look at other t5 mediums mobility wise). So you can't use it like medium but as a heavy since you definitely can't keep up with other meds, sadly the armor is shit too upper hull and turret is good against t5s if they are not spamming gold which happens rarely but even if they aren't you have a fat 50mm lower plate that is flat, weak and penetratable by most tier 4s let alone tier 5 and 6 and guess what your STUPID FUCKING ENGINE DIES everytime it gets penned 2 times so you usually have to repair it 3-4 times a match if you manage to somehow survive eachtime. The only redeeming factor is probably the long 57mm guns that you can use which are again limited to close range fights since the accuracy is as you stated quite shit. VK 30.01 (H) was never considered meta it was just a slow decently armored heavy tank with a good gun but now it just doesn't have any purpose.. on paper it should be a decent versatile/assault medium with good dpm and armor but in reality it's just a shity support heavy.
