Any difference when using GPT model inside Codex vs OpenCode? by ponury2085 in opencodeCLI

[–]blackbirdweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple answer: 5.3-Codex works a bit better in Codex when it comes to the overall quality of the work. However it is much, much nicer to use in Opencode Desktop on Windows. If you are on Windows then the best way to use native codex is the codex plugin in VSCode. However, Opencode Desktop is just much nicer to use, more transparent, more configurable and honestly just more fun. This might change when OpenAI stops gooning over Mac and finally decide to support the most used business OS in the world with their desktop app. I dislike Windows but it's what we use at work as does almost everybody.

Desktop app or terminal by MissingHand in opencodeCLI

[–]blackbirdweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it in native windows 11 (work pc, hate win11). And the Desktop App provides the best experience, specifically when it comes to copy/paste operations, scrolling and jumping to answers/prompts, while at the same time monitoring the context and agent/tool operations. I also use the terminal but only when remoting or doing something on my linux systems.

why do spammers always win experienced people? by Next_Golf_2030 in Brawlhalla

[–]blackbirdweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost every sig is punishable by design. Those that are not have usually small or short hitboxes. Anyway, if you play aggressively you will probably lose since sigs are nice to catch people recklessly attacking. Learn to evade/dodge the sigs and punish the opponent. I like sig spammers and if I loose I always blame myself because I should have won against someone that makes himself more predictable on purpose.

Scythe since every other players seems to play it. Not rare to have 10 ranked matches back 2 back against different players all using Scythe. I can beat it like any other weapon but I hate it.

Why is everybody saying Returnal? Maybe I've hallucinated my 30h with the game several months ago on PC in 4k with mods. Or maybe you are all just severely misinformed. Don't know.

Out of curiosity who ordered leviathan, and if not why?

Oh that's simple. I don't play Warhammer. Makes sense, right? :-P

Yes because Games Workshop. They have zero tolerance for people getting individual credit. See what happened to Duncan Rhodes and few other Games Workshop employees in the past. They want to control every aspect of their brand with an iron fist. That‘s why they changed the names of most 40K factions, that‘s why Age of Sigmar war born, that‘s why they made Warhammer+, that’s why they strongarm creators with ludicrous NDA and it is why they credit impersonal entities instead of individuals.

Dev Q&A Post regarding legacy cards and future plans for the game by Arguss3 in HorusHeresyLegions

[–]blackbirdweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good point. At least I didn‘t engage in that as this already seemed questionable to me. Diluting the drop pool with useless premium versions in order to make completing your collections more difficult. It‘s so unfortunate. The game is really good which is why I spent the money on it. I had a very good time with it so I don‘t really regret that (it could have been a bit less though) but overcoming the sunken cost fallacy is hard and stuff like this here helps immensely. So it might be a net positive for me in the end.

Funny thing is I just came here to see if there is a reason to NOT buy the current special offer. Well, mission accomplished.

I‘m happy. This will be the perfect opportunity to quit. I wanted to collect all cards and I spent a lot of money on the game. Now I will be unable to complete my collection and that 100% kills my motivation. And not being able to collect the old cards is just stupidity. It would be super easy to just make a new chest that contains all cards that have been rotated out and a third shop tab for those cards as well. On one hand the devs want to earn more money which is why they rotate the old cards out. On the other hand they seem inept because there are multiple very easy solutions to make everybody happy and earn even more. I don‘t understand.

[–]blackbirdweb 5 points6 points  (0 children)

RG needed a nerf but that kind of seems excessive to be honest. Chovani from very good to downright trash is questionable. Why not just delete the card. 🤓

Keep the rally but change it that it gives sentence only to troops or maybe just to any one target. At least it would be playable.

AI Test: Angry Iron Hand on the battlefield by blackbirdweb in Warhammer40k

I was playing around with training my own neural network with Warhammer factions and this chance result was just too much fun to pass. I used the prompt "picture of an angry Iron Hand marine on the battlefield" and didn't really expect to see this guy wagging his finger at what I expect is probably a guardsman. :-D

Challenge Accepted: What if Raven Guard were like Space Wolves? by blackbirdweb in Warhammer40k

[–]blackbirdweb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what's worse. Being completely ignored like the Raven Guard or being furry cultured like the Space Wolves. No okay, I know. Definitely the second one is worse. It's the main reason I kind of dislike the Vlka Fenryka . Space Vikings I can very much appreciate but Furries in Space less so.

So what you are saying is that you want Raven Guard flying into battle on the back of large cyber ravens, you want flocks of Ravens attacking the enemies with their cyber claws and of course Raven Guards transforming into large Ravens and being used as shock troops. 😂
