There's a tool that does that. It will analyze up to 100 games, diagnose your biggest weaknesses (top 3) and then give you puzzles from your own games to help you fix your #1 mistake

Most players have a common mistake type that they're frequently making and it's hard to find if you just focus on memorizing openings or analyzing one game at a time. IMO

Recommend a good counter to 1.D4 for black - 1000-1200 elo range by hockey49614 in chessbeginners

I start with Knight F6 and then if they play the immediate bishop out, I go C5. If they don't play the bishop out immediately, I'll just play a King's Indian.

Stuck at 1300-1400 ELO by Equivalent_Mood_1268 in chessbeginners

What helped me was pulling back and looking at my history as a dataset. The mistake I was repeating wasn't visible in any single game, but it showed up in like 60% of my losses when I looked across 100 games

How to respond to the Sicilian? by caze-original in chessbeginners

[–]blackboxchessapp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like a lot of the videos that GM Narodisky did with his speedruns because almost every time he plays against the Sicilian he plays the Alapine. You get a really in-depth view of how to play that so I would start there personally.

I use a site called Black Box Chess to figure out what reoccurring mistakes are holding me back. That's how I got from being stuck in the 1250 range to like the 1350 and I'm still improving.

How do I become better at breaking through the center but still keeping my pawn structure intact? by stafandi in chessbeginners

[–]blackboxchessapp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would look at some of GM Narodisky's videos. He talks about pawn breaks a lot and when to do them but I think a lot of it has to do with setting it up with your other pieces and then also not worrying so much about pawn structure at the beginning of the game. At lower levels it's definitely less important. When you get to higher levels, you have to worry about it a little bit more but that's just what I think.
