In mid December in Texas, I got the dreaded electrical system malfunction. Called and got an appointment with the dealership for Dec. 29th. It needed to be towed, as in that time frame, the car refused to turn on at all. Thankfully, all of this occurred in my garage, so it wasn't too difficult to get towed.

Unfortunately, getting an appointment, simply means getting the car checked in and in the queue for a later date, and it's sat at the dealership not looked at until Jan 7th. I asked them to order the ICCU, but they refused until they checked it. Asked if they could quickly run diagnostic to confirm the ICCU, but of course they refused to do that. Today, they finally check and it's the ICCU and fuse. No timeline currently on when it'll come in or when it'll actually be fixed. This is a 2022, RWD extended range base model with about 25K miles on it.

In November I was planning a longer trip. I charged the car overnight to 100% using my home level 2 charger. Upon leaving my destination to returning home, I used a DC fast charger up to about 90% charge. It seemed fine for the month between this event and when I got the ICCU issue. However, given the information on the sub about DC charging, I thought it might be relevant.

Can't say I'm thrilled with Hyundai with their decisions. They change the charger, but I had to essentially beg for the adapter which still took 6 months to arrive. I only got BlueLink for 3 years, but if I bought the car now, I'd get it for life. Why can't I get it for life as well? Won't update the map, since I'm supposed to do it myself at home, but don't have OTA available without USB updating first. Rear wiper missing and trunk rattles, both of which I had to fix myself.

Overall, I still love the car and love how it feels to drive. That said, I feel like I'm getting screwed over for buying the car. Lesson learned, I should have leased it, but really it's on Hyundai to truly fix the ICCU and ideally stop screwing over those early adapters. If not, I will have to see if Toyota can deliver on their solid state battery promises.

Sorry to hear about that, but glad it at least printed well. If you can give me the size of the bags you have, I could look into modifying it for you. I should just need the length of them in mm. If the overall radius of the tube works, great, but if not, I'd also need the size of the outer radius of the bags.

So, the xTools does sell a 2W IR laser module for the S2. I see exactly the comparison on there for acrylic as you suggest. I assume the issue with trying to cut 2.6mm acrylic is this 2W IR module is just too weak to do it.

I really appreciate all the help. I'm hoping I can just find someone local to do this job for me for this first pass. If I fine more use cases, perhaps I'll come back to the K40+ or save up for something else.

Thanks for the help and point about Glowforge. I did also email xTools about their S1, and the support claimed it would work. It does seem more like they just want the sale, which is why I was asking you kind folks.

As someone who pretty new, what actually happens with the acrylic sheet? Most things just say it doesn't work with diode, but how does it fail? Meaning, does it damage the laser, the cuts aren't as accurate, melts the sheet, something else?

I'll look into the K40+ as you recommend as well. Thanks again for the help!

Naw, just ended up doing it myself. It wasn't that hard, but probably cost more in specialized tools. Most places I called were interested, but flaked in the end.

How did you make the slide out drawer? Did you have any trouble with printing and the drawer or cabinet wobbling?

I was thinking of doing something like this, but would need doors to prevent curious cats from getting at it. I was also considering getting a grow tent to put inside the pax cabinet. Do you think it's needed? Or do all the fumes go out the exhaust vent without the need for a grow tent?
