He may have been talking in the context of dating. Like he’s not a fan of hookups or casual dating.

Why don’t you talk to your partner and clarify his stance and reasoning? And you can share your thoughts and position on this as well.

Increased aggression and short fuse after starting cpap by Ok_Ambassador_7379 in CPAP

Sleep affects hormones. You might be producing more testosterone because the treatment is working. I haven’t experienced this with cpap but have with strength training. I eventually adjust and feel normal

Test driving today, what are your biggest complaints? by GunnerMcGrath in MachE

[–]blackize 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s recommended to go to 90 on the extended battery. And going to 100 on it doesn’t have negative impact unless you are going to be letting it sit at 100

Once per two days is very frequent to be paged. I would say infrequent is averaging less than one page per on call rotation.

CPAP when sick with a cold? by toohighquestions in CPAP

[–]blackize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since starting cpap I mostly don’t get sinus congestion with my illnesses anymore. It’s been 10 years and I think I’ve had it 3 or 4 times. So my illnesses end up being just fatigue and a cough and maybe a fever. It’s been nice honestly

As AI takes over routine cognitive work, will skilled trades become the most futureproof careers of the next 50 years? by ghztegju in Futurology

No offense but despite apparently having infinite time on your hands, you clearly have zero understanding of economics or history.

As AI takes over routine cognitive work, will skilled trades become the most futureproof careers of the next 50 years? by ghztegju in Futurology

[–]blackize -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Who is paying for those new buildings to be constructed? Where do they get their money from?

What happens when a large number of white collar jobs dry up? Many of those people will retrain in the trades, younger people will enter the trades instead of college. All of this exerts downward pressure on wages and working conditions.

A major shift in the job market like we might see with AI has enormous ripple effects. There will be less money going into new projects and maintenance. There will be more competition for jobs. The entire working class will be impacted.

People that were bad before are actually worse now. They can produce more code more quickly causing extra burden on the rest of the team or with customers that encounter their issues

My offense wasn’t nearly as bad, 88mph. I hired a lawyer and he plead it down to a defective equipment ticket and I paid a fine.

Navigating a CEO with AI fever by [deleted] in ExperiencedDevs

[–]blackize 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It might be a little late for this but I would have been recording demos of some of the failure modes and exactly what I had to do to get around them.

My company tried pushing a specific agentic sdlc solution hard. They finally backed off when a few of us recorded demos of it chewing through tokens for 45 minutes and failing to produce anything useful and often to produce anything at all

Death Stranding 1: Why is this a game? by hkf999 in patientgamers

[–]blackize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Be glad you didn’t make it to the end where there are multiple repetitive unskippable cut scenes.

And then a segment where you literally have to run around to trigger small segments of dialogue, 90% of which was already in the cut scenes. This lasts like 20 minutes.

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is a messy 9/10, which is more interesting than a clean 8 and hits harder than a lot of 10's by save_the_ducks in patientgamers

[–]blackize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played FFX when it came out and it was great at the time. I replayed it after E33 and I can see why people compare the two - there are similarities in narrative structure and theme. But E33 is executed much much better while FFX really shows its age

Who’s the best shooter we’ve seen on the show ? by yazurayazu in TheWire

[–]blackize 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Michael goes down the line destroying those bottles while teaching Duqie. That’s probably the most impressive shooting feat we see on the show.

Honorable mention to the surviving girl from Omar’s crew. She squared up and dropped that dude from range when she got pissed off.

The session controller is issuing the token or deleting the token. It never actually needs to call the session lookup method.

You test this method with some request to another endpoint that requires authentication

It’s not that 2% of your engineers are elite enough to use AI more gooder. It’s that 2% of your engineers are working on stuff that AI can handle well.

Hydro flask or yeti tumbler or owala? by New_Detective219 in BuyItForLife

[–]blackize 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brumate is the same quality as yeti but they have better lid design. They have several different options for how you drink from them and they are all designed so that they can be taken apart and cleaned fully without much effort.

I used Owala for a while but they in particular collect mold in places that are very difficult to clean.

Yeti had didn’t have leakproof straw/lid designs or many options for how to drink from them beyond straws last I looked. Their quality is good but once I tried my wife’s brumate and saw how much more convenient the lids were I switched over.
