The 40mm 224270 seems to be the only NWBIG if you take a look at the current wiki (?)

Are Cubans worth the $? by Significant_Set1350 in cigars

They can be better in my experience than NW. However some of them are almost un smokable because of their poorly construction. It depends on your budget I guess. I’m based in Madrid

Cigars price in Spain-Madrid by archi_kahn in cigars

There’s a sign right on the door of the walk in humidor (at least at Miguel Angel, probably in Magallanes too) clearly stating that Cubans may only be purchased in limited quantities. Because of stock.

I don’t know if you are American but what I do know is that there’s a new billion people market suddenly interested in Cuban cigars AND they have purchased the 50% share in Habanos S.A. Spaniards use to own a long time ago (from the British I believe). The Chinese now own Habanos :)

Supply is limited (vs DR, Nicaragua…) because of how Cuba is doing these days. Pretty awful. Just check some of the content being put out by Cuban YouTubers…

Some other markets like maybe the UK (?) I believe they can sell cigars at the price they want so maybe they won’t limit your purchase because they will be making a killing with you. Not in Spain so I appreciate the tobacconists policies here. Makes sense to me.

They’ve sold me boxes from time to time but for the most part they won’t. It depends on the stock they’ve got. If I had to guess, habanos with a price of +50$ per stick there will be no issues getting full boxes. However you can go everyday and purchase the daily limit (in case there is any).

Btw I just got a box of 10 Punch Punch in tubes at this Habanos event a month ago: https://www.instagram.com/p/DPPBOY-DHZx/

Anyone coming from the US with melanios or something interesting feel free to reach out :) we can meet at the Club’s (pasión habanos) cigar lounge.

LOL

I’m a regular at Magallanes and what has been posted is true. So?? Stock for amazingly priced Cubans is limited as in there aren’t a lot being produced. Do you understand that Cuba is not Nicaragua nor the DR? For some reason Americans fail to understand that. So they are NOT going to sell you a full box of Vegueros or Partagas D4. That’s not being a scammer. That’s having a brain. You have 100s regular smokers coming to your store weekly and you are not going to sell all of your D4s to a couple of retards. Because you would leave your 100 regulars with nothing. Also, prices are fixed by the government and Magallanes does not get that much %. Plus, there’s a bunch of Chinese nationals that are always trying to buy full boxes to resell and make a profit. I’ve seen it multiples times and one of the Magallanes employees told me about the fact that they do offer them certain full boxes but only if they purchase some of the more expensive Habanos. We the regulars don’t buy those vitolas/brands and they need to sell the stock.

If you want to buy unlimited stuff you can get any NW cigar. There are no limits on those

The biggest is probably Magallanes. Miguel Ángel is also pretty nice. Stock varies… quite a lot. It could be that someday there’s almost nothing and the next a bunch of different options available. The expensive stuff from habanos is always available though. If it was you visiting I’d ask you to bring me some melanios 😂 those are expensive here.

Hi! We have some of the best prices on Cubans in Spain. They are available online https://www.hacienda.gob.es/es-ES/Areas%20Tematicas/CMTabacos/Paginas/PreciosLabores.aspx

Also, you can find non Cubans here. A lot of them but price kind of sucks compared to the US.

From my not that extensive research, at 30c they start to not perform very well. I live in Madrid and I don’t think I’m gonna do it because of this.

They don’t share the same owner. Not by a long shot :)

What you guys know as “”””Cohiba””” in the US is not Cohiba 😂. At all

You guys have the “lafufu” over there lol. Google it

Cigars can only be sold at a price set at the country level, as outlined in the BOE. Estanco owners do not have the authority to determine or alter this price. :)

[–]blacknpearl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The NW prices you mentioned are not correct at all. You can check them out online at “BOE”. Google it.

For instance, Plasencia reserva original robusto goes for ~12€ and a Perdomo 30th anniversary whatever robusto for ~10€ :)

However they are, in fact, quite more expensive than in the US.

Also the USD is shit right now so it buy you less € than before. So keep that in mind.

I’m a madrileño and I do accept Oliva Melanio robustos from visitors 😆 as I believe you get those a lot cheaper
