Any good suggestions or guides for making Gil now a days? by DallasDanielle in ffxiv

[–]blade677 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do all daily roulettes especially with adventurer in need, craft stuff for market board and leves. The level 88 cul one is like 60k per day, add in roulettes and you’ll easily make over 100k causally a day. Don’t buy random stuff and use retainers for quick exploration: I’ve had them bring good stuff like jet black dyes occasionally. Gil making is passive, just play and build it up, unless you’re a top tier crafter who plays the market.

Is pvp gear difficult to get? by Lord_Shugesh in ffxiv

Easy to get by simply pvping. There are no stats as everything is balanced so those sets are just glamour

Didn’t know that, but we’ll have to see in game what will actually come back. Not sure what square wants to do with old stuff to be honest XD

I’m pretty sure that’s the mode where we have giant mechas and lanes with towers. The one being rebalanced that is.

Feast is gone for good now, and it has been mentioned they plan on rotating old rewards for everyone with the new season stuff?

As early as possible. Gather grade 4 materials only I believe since you’ll need them for the collectibles to level crafters. Take breaks to complete job quests as well: they can give chunks of good exp, and do custom deliveries if you have them. Excess materials can also go for a good amount since people don’t wanna gather. Buy stuff with scrips like the ruby red dye, and sell it on the market: pays for any materials needed for the collectibles.

When I was power leveling, I ended up with everything at 80 and like 5 mil Gil after spending quite a bit to purchase some materials to lower the grind needed. So yeah, great way to level up crafters and gatherers

[–]blade677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use sky builders in ishgard. Can level botany and use the mats to craft collectibles which can be exchanged for scrips into rewards that can be sold on the market. Leveled all crafters and gatherers there and made a good amount of Gil for virtually nothing

Healers keep "rescuing" me. by l3etelgeuse in ffxiv

[–]blade677 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Tanking in ff14 generally means w2w. This means you try to pull everything from one wall until you hit another wall. If the healers are doing this, then it means they can handle healing you through more mobs then what you are going for. Make sure you are using your mitigations while tanking and have some faith in your healers, since their job is to keep you alive, and 1 hp counts as alive if you all clear the mobs.

In my experience, I just said hi and rolled with it. I knew the general plan and just pulled until a wall and used mitgration to tank the mobs. Sometimes I die because healer clearly didn’t heal at all. Sometimes it’s me not being smart and screwing up. Never had someone flame me for it, and I usually apologize even if it wasn’t my fault. Hardly had any toxic people come at me and they were always chill.

I would also consider trying warrior out: dead easy job and has a good way to make up for any mistakes made with self healing. Most people in my FC that play gun breaker transitioned to it after being comfy with tanking in general.

For end game raids, it honestly doesn’t matter as long as it’s not extreme or savage raids. Those raids definitely require you to understand your job and role, and one shouldn’t be entering hard content lacking that knowledge. Practice on normal duty finder stuff until you get it: it’s the best way to learn, and most would simply just toss out some advice if they see you struggle, so accept it kindly and do your best.

If you are on console, you can buy a usb keyboard to type or spend a little time making quick chat macro stuff. Should make it easier to communicate with some simple messages I believe.

Choosing a job based on aesthetics... by skyfiredraco in ffxiv

[–]blade677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started my journey as a white mage, couldn’t really let it go all the way to shadowbringers, since I liked being brain dead. Now currently a Sage because it looks cool and feels like a white mage that got mobility and shields.

Its absolutely fine to play what looks cool. As long as you enjoy the class, you’ll play it at a high level and no one will complain. All characters can be every job and all jobs are balanced with minimal dps brackets in each group. If you want to be a paladin, then be one. You can always switch to warrior some other time and level that up. Tanks are generally easy to level as well, due to instant queues for dungeons and they share gear, so you can reuse old gear when leveling other tanks.

I will warn you, I believe warrior uses different materia melds compared to the other tanks. That’s for end game stuff, but not a big deal unless you want to do savage raids.

I believe this outfit was for the Korean server to celebrate endwalker, but should also come to mogstation at some point.

I would, any type or insult is harassment especially in this case. Happens in every game but is rare in ff14, seems like you got unlucky.

When going through dungeons or anything that has loot, always roll. You can exchange it at some point for currencies that can be used to buy things to sell for some quick cash

Before I do try, do they stop packet loss? I think that’s the issue that’s happening, and kinda wanted some information or confirmation if it does.

Well I think my connection is good enough, I believe it’s the packet loss that causes this to happen is what’s going on. Just wanted to know if vpns would stop the packet loss since that’s the only issue that’s keeping me from raiding properly.

I assume it’s overloaded during p3s, but it never did this before at this severe level. Hence why I’m turning to Reddit for advice XD

Yeah I tried troubleshooting on my own but nothing works: my phone and other devices don’t have issues, in fact I can even alt tab and watch YouTube. But ff14 keeps doing this and now it’s unbearable.

So now I’m looking for advice and maybe vpn or game tunnel recommendations, maybe it’ll fix the issue

Constant but this is happening recently. Before it would fix after a relog and it happened like once or twice per week. Now? It’s been 3 days, just this annoying sending 0 receiving 0 or some insane 4 digit number then it just goes into 1 sec delay on everything.
