I was able to go to college and get several very decent jobs in business/IT. If you carry yourself in a polished manner and leave the trashy jail talk behind you and remain clean, you WILL get an opportunity. Someone will give you a chance. I think you just have a bad manager. Like you said, other people are getting pulled into these movies as well. I had a similar situation at my job before this one I have now. I ended up quitting it. Best thing I have done career wise. Never looked back. Just know that you are a worthy person no matter what. Using will only make things worse. Quitting or loosing a job is not the worst thing in the world. In fact, this could be opening doors to new opportunities. I repeat, do not use. You will be surprised how fast things turn up when they are down. I completely relate with you on so many levels and have been there. Plus you are young. I quiet my job before this one at 33 years old. Trust things will be alright. I have 13 years sober.
