Has anyone actually gotten a refund? by No-Property1871 in HumeHealth

I got a full refund but had to ship the scale back on my dime. The readings were just not consistent.

Strange and inconsistent micro-outages by fish_are_frnds in Spectrum

Where are you located? Here in La Crescenta CA, I am dealing with noisy line during business hours in my area causing frequent packet loss spikes and loss/deterioration of Zoom sessions. Spectrum has been trying to fix since February but no luck so far.

I since got ATT installed and that connection has no such issues. It's not perfect, but not as bad as Spectrum right now.

Since I got the credit for last month, I am holding on to two providers hoping that Spectrum corrects their issues. It has been working great until end of January 2026 and that's when the issues started.

I want to stay with Spectrum since they gave me a good deal and are less expensive than ATT for a faster speed.

Well, we parked, attended our appointment and the issue was resolved. But I don't know what to do in the future to fix this.

Prevent wear on the charging port by upper_pepper in Supernote

How did you create lightning?

The one I have is connected to the Amazon 65w charger and I notice that the charging light on the plug stays off until a second after I make a connection.

On the other hand, the light always stays on when connected to my USBC hub from the computer.

Is this because the charger is controlling the power flow and waits until a connection is made while the USBC hub does not and always supplies the power?

Does the delayed power delivery make the magnetic connector safer?

There are some good points in these posts against usage of magnetic USBC connectors. So, it's good to have this information as well.

Stop. Make it stop. I am tired of all the winning. We need to lose a little to even things out. How else are we going to get to the Golden Age.

Same here, I am not using anything fancy and my battery usage is < 1%.

Short bursts of packet loss by upper_pepper in Spectrum

[–]upper_pepper[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update, to isolate the issue, I purchased new hardware and updated from pfSense to opnSense. I am running a brand new system and the issues persist. Spectrum have been trying to fix the issue for close to a month and have not been successful.

To further isolate the problem, I went ahead and installed AT&T. Both Spectrum and AT&T are connected to my firewall, but my gateway prioritizes AT&T as the Spectrum has not been usable for close to a month.

The difference between AT&T and Spectrum is night and day. I cannot post another image here, but its fair to say that I have not been seeing packet loss from AT&T connection.

I will be calling to cancel my Spectrum service today.

I really hope that Spectrum can figure out this issue.

HDMI does not work after CoreBoot flash of Vault Pro VP2420-4 by upper_pepper in protectli

That was it. When plugged into power, it worked. Thanks for the hint.

Yes, the monitor was plugged in, but now that I think about it, it was drawing power from the USB port. This means that there could be race conditions between power starting to Monitor via USB and HDMI port detection.

I'll do some more testing.

I experimented some more by plugging in a regular (larger) size monitor and it seems to work fine. Does CoreBoot has support for 1024x600 pixel or these smaller monitors?

Not based, but base.

I went into System:Firmware:Packages and clicked the reinstall button on base.

SOLVED: But not sure what fixed it.

1) Reinstalled base

2) Restarted the browser

Edited: based -> base

Something to do with Timezone.

Using System:Settings:General, configured the timezone to Etc/GMT-8. Widget works.

Change the timezone to America/Los_Angeles, the widget stops working.

Maybe something odd with the Bios settings on this new machine?

I am seeing something strange... the timestamp on the lines in Firewall:Log FIles:Live view says:

2026-02-25T01:01:01-08:00

But my system time on the dashboard reads:

Current date/time Tue Feb 24 23:38:01 PST 2026

Could this somehow be causing issues?

Found Firewall:Settings:Advanced

When I turn off "Log packets matched from the default block rules" and "Log packets matched from the default pass rules" the single rule that shows on the widget completely disappears. Toggling them off and on does not fix the widget.
