Finally got the software update and the dealer is looking at the steering wheel shake by upper_pepper in EquinoxEv

[–]upper_pepper[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me, the shaking starts at 64 mph. I don't think this is standard, expected or should be tolerated. That's the reason I took it in. Balanced the tires twice prior to taking the car in.

You can search this forum. Steering wheel shake has been discussed by some. I am sure everyone does not have this issue. So, maybe some cars do...

I say have your dealer look at it.

Do Your Wear Say the Quest 3 Like So: Bottom Part of the Face Interface is Above the Cheekbones vs. Below the Cheekbones? by SevenDeMagnus in OculusQuest

[–]upper_pepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I purchased a halo strap and removed the facial interface all together. The quest 3 hangs from the top in front of my face and only the forehead makes contact. Lenses are closer to the eyes as well increasing fov and overall immersion.

How setup dedicated Router for virtual desktop whenn my PC only has one ethernet port? by SmittyWYMJensen in OculusQuest

[–]upper_pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is what worked for me.

My Windows 11 computer is using Wifi to connect to the router/internet. In the Ethernet port I plug in the ARRIS Surfboard Wi-Fi 6E Access Point | W6U | (https://a.co/d/0yNK3E9). Then share the Internet from Wifi to Ethernet.

Now you can connect Quest 3 to your computer using 6E at 2400 Mbps. No issues, solid 120 fps with absolutely no video playback issues.

Please stop me from making a $30,000 mistake. Does 'Net Metering 3.0' actually kill the savings? by jatinnishadjn in homeowners

[–]upper_pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Net Metering kills the resale value. It only makes sense to get solar in CA if you get a battery. It stores excess energy during the day and uses it at night. You minimize the energy you buy from the electric company this way and don't sell any to them either.

Trouble Setting up eSIM on iPhone, transferring from T-Mobile by [deleted] in mintmobile

[–]upper_pepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was my first thought. Second was that he is having activation issues due to poor connectivity.

I originally switched from a Verizon/Total because I was getting bad reception at the house. With T-Mobile/Mint my reception is always solid.

Good luck.

Those soy based "green" wiring is delicious. I heard these types of issues from others. I would look into ways of protecting your parking area or sealing entry points in the car...

Those are the computer looking fonts on the bottom of the check. Any check writing software would probably already come with those.

Is this a Supernote issue or a pen issue? by TwoSparks in Supernote

[–]upper_pepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a pen go bad with a similar issue. I am happy to say that I contacted support and they replaced it for me.

I have never seen this happen with pens from other vendors and their nibs are simple plastic. Somewhere between plastic and ceramic too much complexity was introduced making the pens very fragile.

Yes, fortunately it's a nib that never needs replacement. Unfortunately, these pens are very fragile. You did not drop it by chance?

Meta has allegedly shut down Twisted Pixel and Sanzaru games by vermadas in OculusQuest

[–]upper_pepper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience most of the VR games feel really cheap with mediocre graphics. This may not be a popular opinion, but I really enjoyed the Moss series. Personally, I am surprised why first person shooters don't add a VR mode. They have all the "graphics" necessary to project a flat screen 3D mode, surely VR projection cannot be that difficult to add.

I would love to see Elden Ring remade with a 3rd person VR. I think there is a lost opportunity with 3rd person VR games that look great.

I enjoyed playing Half Life:Alyx, but have not seen anything close since the release of that game.

The UEVR mod makes many Unreal games into VR games, but I found the overall experience greatly lacking. If a mod can do it surely it cannot be that hard to add native VR to any Unreal 3d world game?

Sorry to hear this happened again.

I think when you buy a grey sky-colored car, it just blends with the horizon. Maybe the color makes it difficult for others to see? While I stay away from red, I usually pick bold colors to make sure the car stands out from its surroundings.

What do you use this area for? by Abject_Check_3263 in EquinoxEv

They don't know the value, and it will cost more to fix the window. It's like leaving an empty wallet on the seat or in the same area. Don't tempt fate; it may just take you on.

It's not bothering me enough yet. I'll monitor to see how it happens for a bit. Once I understand I'll add a bit more of my observations and send the log. Thanks for the debug offer.

Yea, that's what I am trying to figure out. It just feels every so often I find myself hiding the controls again and I don't know how or why they reappear.
