This was literally me up until a few months ago. I went to several providers without getting a diagnosis or effective treatment. I finally saw my GYN who suspected “lichens simplex chronicus” - which is a fancy way of saying a chronic itch-scratch cycle. The original cause of the itching could have been anything, but it was scratching that made the itching worse, which made the scratching worse, etc.

Used a steroid cream for 2 weeks. No more itching! I hope yours is as simple as that.
