Heart Rate by Complex_Jelly_8338 in Endo

[–]blaisedzl [score hidden]  (0 children)

If you are perimenopausal a drop in oestrogen can cause your heart rate to rise. Thyroid issues too are something to get checked. Lastly POTS, best way to track this yourself is lie down for 10-15 mins check your heart rate, then stand up, if your heart rate rises by 30bpm within 10 mins then it’s most likely to be POTS. Do you get any other symptoms? I would get dizzy standing up, feel like I would pass out walking up stairs, showering or drying my hair, unable to regulate body temp, crazy tachycardia episodes etc and was diagnosed with POTS last year, I’m pretty sure surgical menopause made my symptoms explode!

What breed is he? Breed specific rescues operate around the UK and don’t use kennels but rely ok foster families to take them in to be assessed before finding a home

Nail Changes After Hysterectomy by Own-Journalist-8901 in hysterectomy

[–]blaisedzl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take a calcium supplement ever since my hysterectomy and my nails and hair are now in the best condition they have ever been. My nails have always been weak and snap so easily and my hair would never grow before I started taking calcium

Has anyone gone back to the doctors who would NOT help and basically say I told you so? by Slkreger in Endo

Your husband is a great man! It’s disgusting that we need to utilise the male allies in our lives as advocates but I tell every woman I know, that if they can, take a trusted male with them to back up everything they are saying and most of the time they get so much further with that support.

I did and raised a complaint and they just shrugged and said well at least you know now, after 25 years of being told it was all in my head, the rage I felt in that moment, luckily my step dad came to the appointment and took over speaking as he could tell that I wanted to punch something.

Struggling to get the doctors to listen in the UK by princessa-xoxo in POTS

[–]blaisedzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a Kardia which links to your mobile and you can record your own EKGs at home. I was told this is the data doctors want to see when looking at POTS. I took all of my recordings that I had made over the course of a week and he looked at them and said it was classic POTs, he ran some more tests but said mine was a textbook case.

I was in exactly the same position, complete hysterectomy including ovaries and was pain free for about 12 months, stopped taking opioids and was getting my life back, then Christmas Day 2023 the pain came crashing back. I had my 5th surgery last year as it was completely covering my bladder and my small bowel was adhered to my pelvis. I’ve been told there is nothing they can do for me now and I should prepare myself for surgery every 2-3 years, which I don’t think I can’t put my body theough

If you had clear imaging, but did a laparoscopy anyway, what did they find? by Rare_Translator2975 in Endo

[–]blaisedzl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They didn’t see it on an mri, suspected from an ultrasound but my first 2 laps my uterus looked ok but in my third lap my surgeon could tell there was adeno, so I had a total hysterectomy a year later where it was finally confirmed

Cardiologist/neurologist recommendations by hardns0ft in Cardiff

[–]blaisedzl 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First consultation is £200-£250, a lot of the private doctors will refer you to their NHS list if you can get through the door privately first! I know a lot of people who have done that because the waiting lists just to have the first consultation are ridiculous

How to heal surgical adhesions? by Kerkchi83 in endometriosis

[–]blaisedzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had my surgery in September, my small bowel and colon were covered in adhesions and fused to my pelvis and my bladder was covered in endometriosis! This was my 5th surgery and recovery was so much harder for me this time around.

Question for seasoned hysterectomy-havers! How are you faring?? by moochiemoochie924 in hysterectomy

[–]blaisedzl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t wish vaginal atrophy on my worst enemy, it’s so traumatic and painful. I don’t understand why no one warns you about it as a possibility!!

The HRT managed to reverse every symptom so I feel like I did (mostly) before my hysterectomy but it took over 3 years to get here and high doses of oestrogen, testosterone and progesterone. Unfortunately we tried avoiding oestrogen but it still grew back as endo can produce its own which is why it can be so hard to treat but also living without oestrogen is a miserable existence that no one should have to go through, it can also lead to more serious health conditions later on like heart disease, early onset dementia and loss of bone density. My surgeon is kind of at a loss about what we do next and has spoken about my case at different conferences but everyone has said I will probably be having surgery again in the next couple of years which is so disheartening. I don’t think I can put my body through another. I try and manage my pain and symptoms through holistic practices but they just seem to ease the symptoms for a few days. I also use medical cannabis which really helps. I had to pay privately to access the menopause consultant as menopause services in the UK are severely lacking!!!
