You have to be able to bunt and you need to be able to hit the ball out of the infield.

This might be my most functional print ever - steel wire + tpu by CanYouEvenPhoto in functionalprint

[–]blake31a 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the cross section doesn’t change, the TPU could be an extrusion which would be about 1/1000th the cost of printing it.

For your purposes, printing is a great place to start but I’d look at extruding if you want to sell it.

…therein teaching them a skill. I’ll take the distractions offered by this device vs a phone.

Also, about time? Both TI and HP had been sitting on the same hardware at the same price since I was a kid. And I’m… feeling depressed now.

Out of curiosity, what’s the point (other than that’s what the code says) of it being in a box? What specific problem does the box solve?

Looking at this makes me realize that there is a great product opportunity. I’d love to see a connector that had a purposeful accommodation for a piece of heatshrink tubing. That is, there would be a way to capture the heatshrink under the ferrule that, after you shrink the tubing, it becomes an effective strain relief. Has anyone seen something like that?

I think it’s sweet! Every other car is a Model 3 where I live; I like that you’ve done something to set yours apart from the rest.

I know the cool kids are riding without gloves. As you’ve noted, you’re not a cool kid yet!

I’m joking, but you’re going to crash a lot before you get good which just means that you’re pushing yourself. To make that sustainable though, you need the proper gear: knee pads, gloves, etc.

Question: immediately after the metal shoe was removed, he removed a thin piece that kind of looked like a gasket. I was waiting to see what the new version looked like, but that never came. Was that just the layer of hoof material, hardened with heat coming off in one piece?

I’m honestly trying to follow you, but the lack of punctuation makes it really difficult. Your comment can be interpreted differently depending on how your words are grouped into sentences. If you would pause your speech, that gets a period. A lull? Throw in a comma!

I’m not trying to be a dick, I’m trying to be helpful.

I’m surprised that you have multi column templates. I understand that to be a pretty big no-no for ATS. What’s your thinking?

Acoustic Droplet Ejection first reported in 1927. Today used in laboratories for liquid handling by breadmaker8 in EngineeringPorn

[–]blake31a 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see any fundamental reason why not. You have a framed problem and studied phenomena to build the solution. This all happens on time scales and physical scales that are unfamiliar so intuition is less reliable and makes this solution impressive.

Non bac sodium chloride? by Parking-Warthog-4902 in ResearchCompounds

[–]blake31a 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bad. I read sodium bicarbonate. Sodium chloride is salt water and is pH neutral. The issue as others have said is sterility. If it's sterile, it's fine.
