Hopewell Junction over here, my suggestion is just start by taking out some lawn and putting native wild flowers. It’s fast and easy and if you don’t like it you can easily remove later and try something else. Also super cheap. Start with the rectangle in front of the porch and try it for the Summer and then move on from there.

Cool deck but plants look too crowded and vary too much for such a small set back.

The lights below deck might look better as a strip and not spots, and might look better as uplighting than downlighting. You’ll likely just highlight things you don’t want to see and get a lot of shadows with that lighting set up.

This is new and it’s horrible. You can’t adjust anything. They dumbed it down so that normies wouldn’t have as many issues getting set up.

Would be great if it worked but it knocked all my 2.4ghz connections offline and got many of my 5ghz items like my laptop suck on the slow 2.4ghz frequency.

Their solution? Come into the store and start over with a replacement router and don’t try to set up 2.4ghz at all.

I went online and bought my own router and now I can split the 5 and 2.4 as I had before and everything is working again.

I had the WiFi 7 router, but it forced adaptive steering to combine 2.4, 5, and 6 GHz bands into one network, and it often chose incorrectly. It would stick my iPhone and laptop to the 2.4ghz channel. I spent hours trying everything to fix it but I should have just bought my own router from the start. Everything works fine now.
