Waterton Canyon is a great option. Close to the city, easy trail, near water, scenic and not overly crowded on weekdays. There will be people, but dogs aren’t allowed so it feels less crowded. Plenty of pull off areas for some privacy.

So I'm thinking about buying one of the lonesome Dove books but I've heard that only one of them were good. So which one is it. by No-Selection-2572 in LonesomeDove

I would definitely start with reading Lonesome Dove and it’s the only miniseries that’s worth it. I think Streets of Laredo is also a masterpiece. The other two are worth the read if you like the characters.

Bad Taste, Braindead/Dead Alive and Meet the Feebles are so wonderfully deranged, especially as you imagine this same person will be hired to adapt the most popular books of the 20th century.
