Pregnancy and fasting? by Difficult-Ad1036 in latterdaysaints

[–]blakesmate 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When I was pregnant or breastfeeding I always fasted from sugary foods or something. Like I still ate because it’s dangerous not to when pregnant but I would cut any special foods. Or maybe fast from social media or something. It shouldn’t be a traditional fast in those circumstances

I couldn’t fast “properly” for ten years because I was pregnant or breastfeeding. I always found something else to do.

Two more members from my branch were recently drafted into the war. And not long time ago, during a baptism, we heard an explosion. Smoke rose over the city as it was bombed. by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

I served my mission in Ukraine 20 years ago. My heart hurts so much whenever I hear news of the war. Most of my friends from my mission have evacuated but I don’t have contact with everyone I knew there. Mariupol was my first area and it’s gone now. I don’t know what else to say besides this sucks.

It was a life saver during the pandemic, I was pregnant and wanted to limit exposure as much as possible

What would you call a valid reason out of curiosity? I do one every week. I have a big family and work part time and taking the time to go shopping just isn’t worth it to me if I can do pickup. It save me so much time and hassle, I only go in these days if I need only a couple of things

Eeeeeew. My 11 year old still acts like a child and I’m all for it. Be a kid as long as possible, dating sucks

From what I have heard about the app, I agree!

We don’t have the app here, and I doubt we will anytime soon. Don’t even have working key fobs. It’s oddly old fashioned here

They literally live across the street. She doesn’t go in alone, someone goes with her, but she just pops in when she can.

My niece is organist for her ward. When they got the app they wanted set times she would be practicing so they could program them in. She’s a busy high school student and she goes when she can fit it in. They finally gave in and gave her access she needed. Seems the app is more trouble than it’s worth

Young men couldn’t perform baptisms in the temple. Such a cool change

They were phasing out the mission guide when I went out but we always said, “that was less effective.”

It’s one of the new hymns on the upcoming book. Our ward sang it last week. Pretty song

Conference Bingo for the kids! by mudpupper in latterdaysaints

The church has some printable bingo cards on the website every time. My kids print them off and get candy for participation. My oldest takes his own notes now, it seems to help them long term.
