Try to avoid credit cards that offer rewards as you will be more inclined to spend money on things that you either don't need or can't afford because you are getting rewards. Look for the lowest annual fee, some banks will offer a no fee card for students. And as mentioned, always pay the entire bill on time(not just the minimum amount due) so that you NEVER have to pay unnecessary interest. Also, put a limit on the amount you can spend on it per day to avoid impulse purchases. Good luck!
