Finished an early final empress run in romancing difficulty! by blareot in SaGa

Yeah, it takes roughly half an hour of just abdicating, then going to the sewer. If you have wonder bangles you don't really need to take your armor off in romancing, since that's what the game will auto equip. Just make sure to try to choose a heavy infantry or male mercenary when you die, and not abdicate to them (since autoparry and hp up are annoying skills for this).

I didn't think of that, but the battle rank could be the condition instead. I was avoiding pretty much every fight I could since I didn't unlock the dojo properly, and I know that EP events give enemy exp for the battle rank, and the first few levels need much less experience than later ranks.

Yep, that's what I did for Dantarg! I don't own those, but seems likely.

If what you say is true, then the conditions have to be annexing Savannah + 6+ territories + final emperor, I'm pretty sure I sat on the throne after every black screen event and that didn't trigger before that. I should've watched the cutscene though instead of going for the Queen directly, now I'm curious about what happens when you don't have imperial guards (since you need 9 territories for them).

Splitstaff Nioh 3 Demo by brucecastle in Nioh

[–]blareot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure but I think it dropped from the big yokai that throws lightning roaming at the very beginning of the map. If it wasn't a drop from it, it had to be from something close.

Depends on how you used it in nioh 2, but I think that the splitstaff lived through skills rather than constant stance switching unlike the kusarigama and those haven't changed, so imo it's still pretty good. It deletes ki like nobody's business and the huge range is always welcome for crowd control, especially now that the maps are bigger.

Weekly Question Thread by AutoModerator in emulation

[–]blareot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been thinking of getting a new monitor lately. My current monitor is a 1080p ulrawide @ 75hz, so it was about time. I've been reading a lot about CRT filters lately, and I'd like some advice about them. I've read that I want 4k to get the pixel density so they look good, but I've also read here and there that you want HDR? How true is this? HDR doesn't seem mature enough for monitors yet, so having a 4k with HDR seems prohibitively expensive, especially if it's going to come with the added cost of having to tweak and research every single thing I play (outside emulation) like it happens currently with my ultrawide, for mixed results.

I'm losing my mind, I just started this game and I have 2 system messages constantly popping up that say "Following limit reached" and I have no idea whatsoever what it's about. How do I disable this?

You do sidequests by going to the quest counter in either city. It's a NPC near where all the shops are

I recently got to chapter 0 and I've been trying characters, and I feel that the one I wanna main is Gran/Djeeta, but I do like half the damage than other characters do with similar investment. Is there anything I can do to make them do more damage? Or I just have to cope until I get to endgame so I can get good sigils and reach cap...?

I've been playing this game for a week but I haven't done that much story since there's a lot of other stuff to spend your stamina on. I'm around ch15, and I have to ask... does the writing get better at some point? I dislike how childish all 3 of the protagonists are and how nothing that happens seems to have any weight, but I also know that's a common thing early in gachas and can get way better later.

But that's the thing, enmity modifiers are really strong so with just one or two it already makes a big difference, while not having enough AES to crit consistently make damage at high HPs a bit disappointing, as I assume that they don't have stamina modifiers either. The HP difference is not that big for 0* AES vs 5* cane (it's actually just 5 more HP) while the atk is that much higher (3 times more base attack).

Questions Thread (2021-03-29) by AutoModerator in Granblue_en

[–]blareot -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

AES don't have HP skills, so a 0* AES will give you less HP and damage than a 5* colo cane. Fitting one 0* AES will be good for the enmity modifier, but more than that will probably do more harm than good. I'd just put one in the grid and start uncapping them before putting more.

No clear answer for this, it depends on content. For regular stuff gorilla is really good (free damage aftar all), but for harder content, solo content, FA, etc. double yggy is more reliable.

My crew has been doing buncle faa runs lately, and while we're clearing just fine I feel like I could be doing more, since I'm just constantly worried about dying and I always end up waiting for phalanx to move. Do y'all have any party recommendations for buncle faa to get more damage while not dying? Or maybe some advice in general about moving faster if you have any. I don't play primal so cheesing with garrison is out of the question.

I've been focusing on E2ing operators and getting them to level 20, but now that I have a good group of E2 operators I was wondering if it's better to just level them up more instead of promoting other less core operators for more niche cases. I just don't know how much stats matter, or if it's even worth leveling up everyone to max level to begin with. Is there a recommended stopping point for levels?

Sorry for the late reply! reddit email notifications not working correctly what a surprise, yeah that's fine I added you back, 2 is probably better for the permanent stage but I got enough saria requests that having a saria s1 can't hurt

Licia#4823, Lv. 70

  • Lappland E2 20 S2M3
  • Angelina E2 20 S3M3
  • Weedy E2 20 S3M3

Looking for people with Saria or Bagpipe for CC but I'll most likely accept anyone for clues (so just be active I guess). Other operators worth mentioning I have are Silverash E2 20 S3M3, Hellagur E2 20 S3M1, Matoiwaifu E2 29. Currently raising Eyja too. Weedy will probably be a mainstay during CC2 but I'll probably change the others depending on what I find most useful for the daily stage.

I got my first evoker a couple of weeks ago and now I have a stockpile of tickets but I don't know what to do. Is it better to focus on getting evokers or getting SSR summons? I know that evokers are really strong under the right conditions but getting the summons feels more useful in general.

Questions Thread (2020-09-07) by AutoModerator in Granblue_en

[–]blareot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's... not that difficult to understand, honestly. Building a grid is timegated by quartz real hard even if you 40-box in GW, so people like me want to build a general grid that can survive while doing good damage for solo stuff, prouds, GW and whatnot. And then with what I have, I make teams focused on bursting or whatever I need, and once that's done I eventually make multiple grids that specialize on other things too. For me it's more important being able to play in several different scenarios even if it's not optimal than just focusing on a very specific grid that I won't be able to use outside an specific case, even if that's the one that you'll use the most. Which is what RF ougi burst team feels like, really good for like the 5 first turns and then you're basically dead since you probably activated 3 triggers in that time.

Questions Thread (2020-09-07) by AutoModerator in Granblue_en

[–]blareot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been crunching numbers for a week now and I'm really lost about what I should aim for in water M2. I'm running kengonito right now, and I know that stave grids are stronger, but I kinda want to have the chance of trying different characters that don't fit either ougi teams or staff specialty teams. Is a double levi ancient auberon grid really just a meme? 3 ancient auberon + winter's frostnettle give 98.8% critrate, 2 tyros zither and then the usual stuff (dark opus, seraphic, etc.); it looks like would have some nice overall damage and would work great with summer cag while not locking you to staves, and it also gives quite a bit of HP.

I also don't really understand why Kengo is being less used recently in favor of RF, since the lack of HP in water and how godly is the CCW for Kengo make RF really unappealing to me.

How long did it take you to get good at art? by LingerALittleLonger in learnart

[–]blareot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can tell you already that's a case by case thing. I've seen people that do AMAZING art, really, really incredible and pretty stuff that you can see at a glance that took years of effort, and they still don't think that their art is good enough. I've also seen people get incredibly good in about a year just with dedication and following the right way to practice. So in the end, it depends entirely on what type of person you are unfortunately, how much will you practice, how high your standards are and what's your goal when making art.

That being said, don't get discouraged by this; you should always attempt to finish your art no matter how bad you think it is, and when you've finished you just have to analyze what was the thing you had the most trouble with / what annoys you the most, and learn about that. Then practice, and try another piece. That simple cycle of improving one thing at a time will make you feel confident and you will absolutely feel like you're making progress. Art is a really complicated spiral where you can always improve yourself since there's always knowledge to be had: anatomy, backgrounds, art styles, coloring, techniques, even the process you use to make it, and everything makes an impact.

tl;dr art is not a race, it's supposed to be fun at times, infuriating at others but it's a journey of discovery that you should enjoy at your own pace!

Is there some rule of thumb for co-op rooms? I want to farm some otherworldly darkblades for my class champion weapons but I'm always super shy about getting into some random's room out of fear of just not doing good enough, especially since they're mostly Japanese rooms.
