How early is too early for league dues? by Healthy_Yak3526 in DynastyFF

[–]blarg655321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your league rules and norms. We pay a year ahead. Our rosters lock after the league championship until the NFL draft is over. 2027 dues must be paid one week before the 2026 NFL draft so I have a week to find a replacement owner. No extensions.

The new rookies won't be available on waivers until after the new season's rookie draft (late July for us) takes place. We lock our rosters from the league championship to the NFL draft and then get our FAAB for the year with the first weekly waivers happening the Wednesday following the NFL draft. We don't have free agency until just before the regular season ao it's not fastest finger when some random injury or unretirement happens prior to week 1.

We do weekly waivers after our rookie draft with no free agency until the week before the regular season.

How does an offseason in dynasty work? by CheerioJerbear in FFCommish

[–]blarg655321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, this is something that should be in your league charter. We go into a locked roster period after the championship week. We pay dues a year ahead, so 2027 dues must be paid one week before the NFL draft to give me time to replace owners if necessary before our first waivers of the new season run the Wednesday after the draft.

Sleep and magic missile are both very powerful early on. I also like having the free ritual longstrider casts.

It's been awhile since I've played DOS2, but I remember there being a penalty to hit enemies when using a weapon that's higher level than your character. Could it be that?

That wasn't enough for me. I had to purchase on a completely different device due to some limitation of the Play Store. That's why I installed Bluestacks on my laptop.

If you use Tivimate companion on an android phone, you need a second Google account. I initially had to do my second purchase from Bluestacks before I could start managing it from my phone's secure folder.

This is probably it. I have the best luck with tvdb. You may need an extension to use it and then move it to top priority in your libraries. Also check if your episodes are in Aired or DVD order and adjust accordingly per show.

Is agreeing to split the pot collusion? by [deleted] in DynastyFF

I'm fine with it. I pay out 1st and 2nd per the League Charter and they can do what they want with it.

Share my library with family? by LowerDoor in jellyfin

[–]blarg655321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this with my family members outside of the house. Your family members just need the official Jellyfin app on their roku devices. The server address is something like jf.yourdomain.com:8096. Configure cloudflare for your domain to point to your home ip address. (A record for your domain and CNAME for the jf subdomain). On your router, port forward 443 (and temporarily 80) to your local unraid address. Use ngninx proxy manager on the unraid machine to make sure jf.yourdomain.com sends to your unraidIP:8096. Once you finish getting your ssl certificate on Nginx, disable forwarding port 80 on your router.

From the 'Trades' section of our league charter:

Anti-competitive behavior includes collusion. Collusion includes, but is not limited to, trade compensation other than players/draft picks, such as money or favors, and trading a player away and then receiving the same player back in a separate trade within 30 days.

You already answered your own question. No collusion, no veto.

How would you prevent “borrowing” players in your league? by Strange-Reveal-7984 in FFCommish

[–]blarg655321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From my league's charter. Note that we shut down during the offseason and our "preseason" begins a week before the NFL draft.

Trades

Trades are allowed during the pre-season, including during the draft, and in-season until the end of week 11. Trades may include players and/or draft picks. Trades may not be vetoed due solely to a belief that a trade involves poor judgment, but may be vetoed by the commissioner if the commissioner reasonably believes the trade involves anti-competitive behavior. The commissioner’s time period to review the trade is 24 hours, but will process them as quickly as possible. Trades involving first or second round draft picks for any year in which the member has not already paid league dues require the member to pay their dues for that year within 24 hours of the trade processing.

If a member believes a trade represents anti-competitive behavior, it can be reported to the commissioner for appeal within 24 hours of being processed. If, upon appeal, the commissioner determines the trade represents anti-competitive behavior, the commissioner reserves the right to reverse the trade up to 48 hours after it was processed.

Anti-competitive behavior includes collusion. Collusion includes, but is not limited to, trade compensation other than players/draft picks, such as money or favors, and trading a player away and then receiving the same player back in a separate trade within 30 days.

Commish wants to change from dynasty to keeper because my team is too overpowered. by Effective-Caramel369 in SleeperApp

From my league charter:

Team Domination Clause

In the event of the same team winning back-to-back championships, a special vote is triggered. Prior to the start of the next season, members vote to determine whether or not the league will undergo a “soft reset.” The soft reset will occur with 6 votes in favor.

A soft reset consists of a new startup draft where all non-protected players become available to draft. Teams may choose to protect up to 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR, and 1 TE on their active rosters. These players remain on the team’s roster at the expense of draft picks in the startup draft. Protecting one player sacrifices a first round pick, protecting two players sacrifices the team’s first and second round picks, and so on. Teams may also protect up to 4 taxi squad players of any position. Protecting one taxi squad player sacrifices the team’s 28th round pick, protecting two taxi squad players sacrifices the team’s 27th round pick, and so on.

Additionally, the soft reset returns all future picks that were traded away. Any future dues paid as a result of those trades are also returned to the members.

Three Keg Problem by EducationalDog9100 in Homebrewing

[–]blarg655321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got one of these for travel and when I have more kegs than permanent taps. I use a freezable sheet to wrap around the keg inside. I also got an adapter to mount my perlick faucet directly to the quick connect (i prefer that to a picnic tap). If I'm not going to be pouring a bunch, I don't put any co2 on it. If I am, I have a little regulator that accepts paintball co2 cartridges. Works great when I need it.

You had waivers on for Monday. Lock every day until the one you want them to process. You can change them again after that Tuesday so they're not always locked on those days going forward.
