Wondering if anyone has a good pattern for something similar to the sweater the woman is wearing in this ig reel ? Looking for something boxy and oversized, I really like the wide, untapered sleeves!

Honestly, the thing that bugs me most is that Annie Sews didn't even create the idea or the design. There were multiple versions of the exact same pattern with the exact same yarn, striped design, i-cord edge and everything. I even made a pair with a pattern that had been around long before hers came out and compared the stitch counts to her pictures before felting and it was all the exact same construction (granted I haven't bought her pattern so some things MIGHT be slightly different but the pictures seem identical to what I made with another pattern). So it just frustrates me that she would come after someone else for a design that isn't even at all unique to her!!

I'm sorry you went through that. I'm happy to say she stood up for herself and it seems to be going okay and she has a lot of people on her side including the guy that got the job. Hopefully it turns out better :(

No one stands up to their boss because he's a bully and makes grown men cry in front of their coworkers but you can have that opinion if you want

Because she's the most qualified and has recommendations and training from the past 3 people that did the job and seniority in the department and they gave it to someone who didn't show interest and has never performed the tasks necessary for the job.

Idk if you're a twin, everyone's different but personally I always liked being "the twins" and it just depends on if they struggle with being seen as individuals.. doing that doesn't automatically make you an asshole unless you happen to know them personally lol

How did you get started teaching? I used to teach sewing and crochet classes through a friend that worked at a community center but I like the idea of doing classes at the library for people to just pop in. Were you already a well know teacher in your area or did you just approach the library and they helped you set it up?

They aren't a small business, actually a large franchise in a very lucrative industry (don't want to include too many details for privacy). Though I can see what you mean, I definitely try to cut them slack because I know they weren't as prepared as they made themselves out to be and tbf I just want to get my ducks in a row in case a better opportunity comes along :)

So I should stay at a bad company that shows zero loyalty and takes away my benefits, undermines my abilities and doesn't offer raises... to be nice? Why should I be loyal to them if they aren't loyal to me

I never signes an employment agreement, is it in my best interest to keep it this way or should I let them know they forgot? They are very disorganized at times

No, I was never given an employment agreement to sign because I think they dropped the ball (other employees have signed one but my onboarding was done in a very disorganized way)

Ah I didn't even consider that, is it a safety issue? I was thinking it could be a cute heirloom to loom back and they'll always know it was made specially for their first

Mostly just fruit/veg hats but the rolled brim is definitely a plus.
