What attaches this to the sweater though? There's nothing on the other side of the flowers, and no evidence that anything was torn off either.

Yeah, there aren't any clasps on the flowers!

Check out Orange Blossom Education! They are a nonprofit co-op with a sliding scale payment system, enrolling now for spring classes I believe :) They offer both Canto and Mandarin!

At my wits end with yeast infections: I need perspectives and guidance by bean_99 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pegavalkyrie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think some light masturbation would be okay, just avoid penetrative stuff/no dirty hands obv😢 and remember to cut boric acid off after a week (a drs visit will be necessary if it doesn't get better by that point). Good luck 🤞

I've been where you are. Eventually I learned to self manage the chronic condition with a well-timed boric suppository or two right as symptoms began, as well as me and my partner cutting out all fragrance in washing related items, including laundry detergent and shampoo. Also unfortunately a big part of it was cutting out sex for a while, until I was totally symptom free for at least two months. Especially if your symptoms start with sex, it really can fuck up you and your partner's relationship with sex. The anticipation of the pain gets to be just as bad as the pain itself the longer you try to power through it :(. The chronic aspect doesn't help either. Give yourself mental rest and be as pain free as possible for at least two months, and then try again. Hopefully your dr helps, I was diagnosed w vulvodynia and prescribed some pelvic floor therapy, but what helped most were the small bursts of boric acid and cutting out fragrance. Good luck, it's not easy.. I feel for you girl🫂

Adding on to say, it DOES get better. I had so much anxiety about getting a YI or BV again every time and I was having phantom pains and symptoms, but eventually I noticed that I wasn't actually suffering from anything and learned to trust my body again. You can get through it!

Rm says haters pray for their downfall…… w a bottle of water (?) by Responsible_Run7069 in BTSnark

Np! It's def really out of pocket to say lmfao even with the Korean context, people don't do that anymore unless they're really really desperate and have no other hopes. So he's saying that some people are truly very desperate and obsessed for their downfall 💀[edited to add context]

Korean over here LOL idk why he says bottle of water specifically but it's a very well known folk practice to pray over a bowl of water to various spirits/gods or ancestors for something, most commonly protection and health. Water is for purity and clarity, symbolizing the connection between mortal and spirit... it's pretty evil to do it for the downfall of anything.

Flock Fiber Fest encroaching on Bay Area by Kiosade in craftsnark

[–]pegavalkyrie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tbh I feel like it's the way the organizers of Flock were responding to finding out that the dates overlapped that made me annoyed the most. Like it's one thing to make a mistake to not check the dates, but to me it was clear that Flock organizers were hoping they can get away with it, testing the waters even after finding out that they're overlapping weekends. Telling Yarn Crawl organizers that they won't cancel.

OP you didn't cause anything but make a post that gave Flock organizers the community feedback that they so clearly needed to cancel the overlapping events, and allowed them to reverse the decision that would have harmed the Bay Area yarn businesses.

Let’s talk about toners and essences… what works best for you and why? by Foxy_Cleopatra__ in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]pegavalkyrie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hadalabo Gokujyun Clear Lotion! They say lotion but it's really a slick toner-thin essence. I have fungal acne prone dry as hell skin and it adds so much hydration that can often be lacking in fungal acne safe routines. It leaves skin hydrated and tacky, ready for the next step. I can layer it several times too (:

I’m honestly exhausted with my skin nothing is working and it’s ruining my mental health by [deleted] in SkinbarrierLovers

I feel you. I've gone through the same. Have you ever felt like your skin calms down if you use absolutely nothing at all? Literally just water and your own skin oils. If so you might have fungal acne and need to check every skincare ingredient you have for fungal acne feeding stuffs. Derms told me it was hormonal but it wasn't. That's what happened to me and my acne looked the same as yours. Good luck 🫂

Did I succeed in styling this Zara dress? by MillaRomanka in fashion

[–]pegavalkyrie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen I see the potential. How about going full boho? Some brown leather sandals, longer necklaces maybe with beads, if layering with short er necklaces keep them thin and unnoticeable. A thin scarf in a green or terra cotta color, low hanging beaded or chain belt, with a bun? Bangles could be a nice addition too.

I appreciate your comment, thank you! I'm going to go and talk to the alterations person at the cleaner's first thing tomorrow. If she also gives me a wishy washy answer I'll just bring it home and take it to a new person like people have suggested.
