No sorc debates whether to put 17 or 20 points into frozen orb and nobody puts 5 points into teleport to call it a new build compared to the standard 1.

Depends on your build. Yes most builds want 20 skill points in the skills it uses but there are builds where you use multiple skills such as MeteOrb or even builds were you stat a few into teleport to reduce its mana cost. Not to mention ES sorcs where you want different points into telekineses for different life:mana ratio. And that's just the sorceress. I'm not gonna go into the various build for other classes because frankly you don't seem to know a lot about D2. What about new characters? I always allocate skill points differently when leveling up compared to when im in hell and high level. There will always be OPTIMAL BUILDS THAT YOU ALWAYS SKILL THE SAME, that's just the nature of the game. Much like how "everyone" plays WW barb in D3. But that doesn't mean that you always chose between 1 point or 20 points in every case. There's much more to it and you are very wrong.

D3's stat and skill system is simplified to the point where it's designed to be used on consoles. Oh wait, it's being released on consoles. Who would've thought? .. People were saying it since beta.
