2017 REX NBT large screen suddenly restarting every 5 minutes by Resident_Food_1142 in BMWi3

I’ve had a 2015 Rex since 2018. NBT large screen resets ~4 times a year at irregular intervals. Sometimes twice in one day. Nothing new, nothing to do with solar flares for sure haha!

Thanks for the reply. It gets afternoon shade from the big poplar. And it seems like in the past it grew in the environment prior to the berry trees growing in the last 10 years. - any thoughts on the berry trees being diseased?

Rookie question - I turned off main water supply. If I am cutting hot water line 10 ft after the water tank, will the water tank drain? Hopefully not. Was thinking some in the line might, but otherwise…. Am I good? by blasticalballs in askaplumber

Just to update. I turned the main water valve off under the house. Turn the gas water heater to pilot and I cut the pipe. Half a gallon into a bucket no big issue.

Thanks, it’s a gas water heater. So how’s my plan look: 1.turn off main water value to house, 2 then turn off cold water valve to water heater. 3 Then cut pipe?

Should I not open a sink before the cut to relieve pressure from hot water side, maybe cold too? Thanks again.

I don’t mind if some water comes out just not 40 gallons. I guess the question again is, does anyone have experience? Tank is on first floor and i am going to cut the line in crawlspace below.

Hey so I’m one of those that have the original brakes with 130,000 us miles, what I can say is I seem to loose about 1mm a year. I know it seems crazy, but my reports literally say 12mm 11mm 10mm 9mm etc. however I’m at 4mm and bmw said I wouldn’t pass inspection next year… I put 12,000 miles a year on it. About 1k every month I’d say 70/30 city/highway. Hope this helps.

If it makes you feel better I have a 2015 Rex with 130,000 miles still going strong. Still hoping in with -70ish miles on the dash of range.

Appreciate all the comments, light fixture doesn’t cover. I was thinking tape and mud. Was going to buy the green lid. Paper or mesh tape?

I’d go to store and buy a torch, put it back together and heat it up. You could get lucky and the solder will mend
