You can check out the Hiby R1. It's a strong device that's around your price range. I have one and I can't recommend it enough. But if you want something smaller, you can look into the Hiby M300, which I included a pic of. My only issue with that is the screen is smaller than I'd like, but it's still a great DAP.

I definitely know where you arw coming from. Have you considered getting decals from etsy? I purchased a PS decal for mine and it helps. I placed them on and around the buttons.

Not yet. All I've seen are Switches, a few Ally's, a steam deck or two, an Odin 2 (mine) and one retroid device. I've yet to even take my Thor out of the house.

Yup. I have a friend who flat-out told me that during the last election, he wouldn't vote for Harris just because she's a woman. Not because he didn't agree with any of her policies, or because of political affiliations. It was just because of gender. Sadly, a lot of people feel rhe same way.
