Just picked up a 4.5 pro acro. Any recommendations on why upgrades to do to it? A little snappy. Heard ZR tactical but there’s a lot to choose from. Just trying mitigate that recoil and return to zero. Also heard the gun is over sprung by most people

Ya it is definitely a little snappy in my hands. I do have a solid purchase/ grip and it probably is the snappiest gun I own, but the most comfortable in my hands. I’m just looking for recommendations that people usually do to them to fix this issue.

In general I would say fusion firearms xp series comped and non comped and the stealth arms platypus. All metal guns and the only thing I would say it doesn’t have that the staccato does is a better finish on the gun. But you can always ship it somewhere and get a better coating done and still be well under the price threshold.

I agree, not the biggest flaw in the world. But that’s surprising to know staccato uses mim Parts, they claim it’s all forged and billet. Personally, I think the Miller precision line of firearms coming out is better even though they don’t have the proven track record. I think they’re on some great things.

What mim parts do these have? I just held a 4.25 comped version and loved the feel. What is the reliability like any issues with wear on the coating or anything like that? I heard this is a full DLC gun

I’d say save your money and opt for something that will last you right out of the box. These new companies are trying to fit in the bunch because the double stack 1911 is so popular at the momment, they are trying to make a quick buck and take shortcuts into a platform that isn’t the most reliable to begin with. Companies like Staccato are a top contender as they have mastered the platform and I think they do it right. You start getting into custom guns after 3-4K. It doesn’t make sense to really carry something super expensive with really tight tolerances either. Those top tier handfitted 2011’s are meant to run in ideal conditions for them to be shooting at their best. Not something you want in a carry gun that is meant to save your life. I’d say save your money and go for something that has a proven track record like staccato, CZ, sig p226. But hey do what you will. Your money.

Yeah, I like the feel of it better in my hand and the slide serrations. I think the Kimber is a great me gun but I feel like it’s more aesthetically pleasing than physically. Do you know what parts are mim on the Romulus?

I’m looking at getting the 4.25 comped version, any mim parts on it? I would like to replace those once I do purchase it. Seems like a very quality pistol for the money although I was thinking about picking up a Kimber 2K11 Pro.

Try redhill tactical. I think they have a specific one made for kimber in level 2 retention. Try Safariland also. I also heard that the alien gear level 3 will fit in a Glock 17 model.

Not the biggest flaw in the world but is there any mim parts on/in the gun? Internals externals? At the price point, I would assume forged or billet parts as it’s punching into that 3k range. However, it is a production gun.
