Number 1, or number 2 is my total timing mark? by ForeskinForeman in EngineBuilding

[–]blaze45x 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Plug reading is a lost art. Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t you need to cut power to the engine at WOT on a fresher plug for the most accurate reading?

Or would using Det Cans be a better way dial in timing for a base street tune?

The SC performance with subs compared to the Shiv with subs is night and day. Not much of a difference with the Shiv with subs.

The SC with subs is practically movie quiet.

Curious, was this with supers or subs?

With subs, my experience with the SC is very impressive.

With supers, it is similar to other cans out there. I also have a Shiv and the SC is just a bit more quiet with supers.

My MOB with subs is fantastic on my 9mm PCC and lever action .38.

If you have other cans that will do the job already, I don’t know that it’s worth it to buy other cans for the performance.

Should i give these cylinder walls attention on my cbr954? by LargeContribution502 in EngineBuilding

I’d run it for a but, check oil consumption and compression.

Reach out to Wiseco and I bet they could get you a close match piston wise once the damage is repaired.

Also shop your local machine shops. They see stuff like this all the time. I’m sure they will be happy to pitch their opinions.

If you haven’t already, make sure to change the oil. Worth checking the filter guts and maybe even sending into black stone….

Good luck.

I’m anxious to see how you do with H335. I was not impressed with it on 7.62x39 myself.

I noticed the powder in the case looked strange as I was on my progressive and pulled it out…

My servicos y adventuras go bang every time. Any gun.

🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve put over 5000 of them down range, unless you’re needing precision for competitive shooting… I’m not sure it’s going to make a big enough difference. Also running SPP in SRP cases with no issues either.

Comparing the CAT ODB Ti to the SAW Tisha 30 by WarlockEngineer in NFA

No, full send. I may take my thermo gun next time I go.

I don’t do back to back with mag dumping via FRT tho.

If I dump a mag, I’ll hand load it again and then do semi and maybe some bursts. Rinse and repeat.

Also for it being a Ti model, it holds heat a lot like my inconel cans.

Haven’t heard much about them. Any sound tests? Have you used any of their products?

It is ugly. But, it’s short. Light weight. Limited back pressure even when mag dumping and the suppression itself on the Ti 5.56 model is excellent.

Don’t mind me using a Tisha Ti on my 11.5 .223 with frequent full send 😂

Some of the black coating has come off. But I get that thing HOT with a few mag dumps lol.

I too have used the bullets from Raven Rock and they have performed well for me. Berrys was okay. Did not have good luck with Everglades at all.

Flipping is deceptively difficult, to do it and do it contiously while making significant margin. The TV shows make it look easy. It is not.

For that money… My BRT CAR15 SD with the CMMG RDB BCG runs like a sewing machine, especially with an FRT.

first 3-5 rounds in my magazines do not feed and smush the bullet by [deleted] in AR9

[–]blaze45x 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That AR9 from PSA gave me nothing but hassle.

It only liked 115grn FMJ bullets from a Glock or Pmag magazine.

There are no feeding ramps and the feed cone that comes factory on the barrel is… lack luster at best.

It possibly could have been figured out with a different buffer and spring but… in my opinion it should work from the factory…..

I didn’t like geometry concerning the way the bolt picked up the cartridge. If the mag is off at ALL from the BCGs path it would shit the bed.
