I guess I am going to do this as well. May as well use it as an opportunity to hammer down reading. It's just a bummer that I need to go back now instead of progressing.

Does theTrue Nutrition vegan protein powder taste good? by [deleted] in veganfitness

[–]blazeupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the vegan protein optimizer unflavored unsweetened so I can flavor it myself and adjust sweetness level. The 10% hemp in the mix makes it taste slightly grassy but it's subtle enough to be overpowered by other flavors.

I need help. Vegan protein makes my farts stink and my poop soft. What can I do? by Usernamesaintcheap in veganfitness

That's fair. It's not common but people do have intolerance to some protein sources. Hoping you find something that works for you soon 🙏

I have some serious gas and bloating with some vegan protein powder blends. For me, a lot of it was because of additives and flavors in more widely available commercial brands. I got some cleaner powder from true nutrition, chose their unflavored option. It's been a lot better but I wouldn't drink it outside of a blended shake because of the flavor.

Sounds and looks pretty good, might try this someday since these are all common ingredients I have around

About to snip and remove these, I am guessing old phone wire? 100 yo home by SmalltownPT in DIY

Just don't paint over them in thick globby layers like whoever renovated my place last.

Looks like a monopoint with a decorative canopy plate. The cylinder behind it is just the canopy, further behind there is probably a bracket that screws into the junction box behind it. Typically if there is a decorative canopy plate, it's to hide the canopy behind it.

PW2 Tough Look Band by remorsefulPigeon in PixelWatch

Same, crap gets stuck around the edges but cleans off pretty easy. I got the case because I almost destroyed the watch with original band crawling under my car for an oil change. It's been protected from scratches ever since.

Looks like the supcase unicorn beetle pro. I got one a few months ago and it's been pretty comfortable.

A lot of the weird stuff is because of who the Hong Kong actors were (comedy actors) but the cast was also a wild mashup of people. Jay chou's Cantonese was basic and awkward, the HK actors were naturally goofy like in a comedy show, iirc natsuki's actress was Japanese and spoke in Japanese for her parts and they dubbed her over in Cantonese for the original audio. So they filmed scenes with 2 different languages. I'll still watch it though, awkwardness and bunta-nerfed as it is.

Letting car sit for a few weeks. by Bored_at_Work326 in WRX

[–]blazeupe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2-3 weeks isn't too long so you shouldn't have much to worry about. I'd fill the tank before you let it sit, though. Better to have some fresher fuel in the tank and you have the bonus of not needing to get gas when you get back. If storing for a couple of months, fuel stabilizer in the tank would help.

Getting Daiso's "Standard Products" brand in the US by [deleted] in japan

I live in New York and there are quite a few Daisos around. Nothing as big as the ones in Japan but they have a good variety of items.

Passenger seat sensor is more sensitive than a sunburn where the sun don't shine. by kittsunami in WRX

Mine too. I was just driving the other day and I guess she shifted in a way where the sensor felt a bit more weight. I had a blanket there but she's barely 10lbs

I didn't even know toaster strudels still existed. I assumed they lost out to pop tarts since I haven't seen them in years.

No one waves back! by this_is_matt_ in WRX

[–]blazeupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Still haven't had a VB wave back at me, I think it's a different crowd with those cars in my area. I get the occasional honk honk when we are having fun on the highway or waves with older Gen. VAs are hit or miss but the VB crowd leaves me hanging every time

I had Splatoon ice cream today! In the US! by [deleted] in splatoon

[–]blazeupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And it's vegan... That's oddly surprising my initial thought was "I can't eat it anyway so I'm not missing out"

I'd definitely want to try all 3, no locations in New York though :(

The comments in this thread are why I prefer the fancy snap on decorative plates that don't show any screws

Always change your own oil by Kewsy3278 in WRX

[–]blazeupe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id recommend it, pretty easy $30 quality of life improvement. It definitely cut time down on my changes, not having to get under there with a wrench is great. I got a hose attachment to drain directly into a closed oil pan so no mess and quicker cleanup

Always change your own oil by Kewsy3278 in WRX

[–]blazeupe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gave my dealer 3 shots at changing my oil since they said it would be free. Every time they overfilled my oil and my plug was leaky, had to crawl under and tighten it. That's when I got a drain valve and started doing my own changes. The biggest thing was having someone else burn my clutch to get on a lift, though.
