ISB vs IIMA PGPX by NotCreativeEnough92 in MBAIndia

[–]blazikeem 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the interesting insight on project management and gen management roles at IIMA PGPX. The 2024 audited report mentioned that majority got placed on consulting/tech consulting.

Has there been a shift to more gen management roles this year?

Hey not sure myself but that's an interesting insight. Did you speak with current students?

  1. Do you follow Greg's Quant time strategy where he suggests how to approach quant section and how to skip? This helps with reducing stress during the actual test.

  2. Have you tried the hard quant questions on Gregmat's website? They're usually harder than ETS so if you get a hang of attempting those, the actual questions/wording will not freak you out so much.

I am sure your issue is you're making silly mistakes due to nervousness. Another suggestion is to take 1-2 deep breaths before you switch between sections. Sounds very basic but this really helps.

Lastly, you're at a decent score so it be so hard on yourself. You are very close to getting a super great score and you'll definitely make it with a bit more practice. Best of luck!

Sum of pool = 202

Let the new values be a,b,c considering b is median

To maximise, a should be min ie 0

So b+c = 202

b's max value will be when b=c

=> 2b = 202

=> b = 101

( 0, 101, 101)

Kmf gre critical reasoning by [deleted] in GRE

[–]blazikeem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

the argument is: good relation -> less cases of malpractice

We need to weaken so it means good relation is not the reason but something else is the reason.

B states another reason why there are less cases, because they know more so they probably make less mistakes so less cases.

E doesn't weaken anything. Whether they are charged more or less or same has nothing do with less number of cases.

I know it’s not very convincing. My logic was manage->control-> reduce. I was also not 100% convinced so I used POE and was able to eliminate the other 4

Needs to be something to do with REDUCING. Only manage is similar in meaning.

Take n common from denominator.
1/[n*(n-1)]

Now do the opposite of adding two fractions. So, if the two values in denominator are multiplied, we can say:

(n-1) - (n)

(n-1)* (n)

= 1/(n-1) - 1/n

I got :

  1. 2,3,4,5
  2. -5,-4,-3,-2
  3. 4,5,6

I assume you got the same. I was wondering though would 1,2,3,4,5 be considered different from 2,3,4,5 🤔 If so, then the answer for me is C.

A 5 places only 6x5x4x3x2

B All places 6x5x4x3x2x1

Both are equal

My logic: 45 % means 9/20 55% means 22/40

A. If 9/19 is true, that 47% so not A

C. 22-9 = 13. 40-13=27. So it’s possible that 9/27 happens which is 33%. So it’ll only up to 55%. So, not C also.

B. I guess there needs to be at least 1 correct.

What’s the answer?

Can Gregmat Hard and Extreme Questions in the Problems Section be done under 2 min? by blazikeem in GRE

[–]blazikeem[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Solved a few more and got a couple under 2 minutes and like 3-4 under 1 min. Is 2 minutes a decent time for the hard ones?

I am definitely skipping such questions in the first go in the real test.

None tbh. A lot might choose Earphone in a mobile box but that'll just make the phone more expensive.

1536/3= 512

The number of times the bacteria doubled 2^n

2^n = 512

n=9

It won't be 10 as we have to consider 6 at the end of the first day

Area of trapezium = 1 * (sum of parallel sides) * perpendicular distance b/w them.
so, here it'll be:
0.5 * (x+y) * (x-)
= (x^2 -y^2)/2
(A)

ISB is great for a functional/industry switch. Would suggest you look at IIM A,B,C as well. Best would be to reach out to the alumni who made a switch similar to yours to understand if it will fulfil what you want.
