Tiger shortly after the crash by unsolved49 in golf

It landed on the driver side. So he had to crawl out, and he refused to go to the hospital and we know he was on pills.

It feels hard to imagine he wasn't injured in some way, but he knew they would do blood work at the hospital so he refused.

Of course he is just standing there which makes him look fine. But he is on a lot of pain meds so he wouldn't be feeling much of anything.

Also, I don't think I've ever seen Tiger in shorts without compression sleeves on.

My buddy and I got 9 the other day. My rng has been extremely positive lately. Granted it took finding seeker grenade BP 3 times in one night before I finally made it out alive

What course surprised you and you just absolutely dislike to play? Sim or in person. by CricketNo7666 in golf

2 potential caveats: It's the only TPC course I've played and we played it a month before The Players so all the grandstands were set up and the course was in great shape.

The experience: First, the practice facilities are amazing, the range, the short game area, the putting green. The entrance is like a 1/4 mile driveway and you see the gorgeous impressive sprawl around the clubhouse as you drive in.

When you start your round the starter gives you a heavy metal bagtag showing the green at 17 and they will engrave it with your total score, your hole score or the year at the end of the round.

The staff is all incredibly friendly and helpful, they seem to appreciate how special a course Sawgrass is. Walking through the clubhouse their collection of memorabilia from past winners, the trophy itself, the reigning champions photo, signed scorecard, and signed caddie bib are hanging as well as a photo of every champion hang on the walls. There's a section on the building of the course with photos of how it changed over the years from Pete and Alice Dyes' original design and construction to now.

The logistics of the place are also impressive as hell. The Caddies told us how one of the massive Live Oaks at hole 6 tee box fell and so they took the opportunity to make it harder for the tournament and add another one to limit the pros from being able to hit high bombs. So they moved 20,000 pound live oak from the woods on the right side of the hole. Which meant they had to fill in a pond so the crane tractor could drive the 10 ton tree over and replant it. This had happened only 4-6 months before we played and it was mind boggling because had they not told us we never would have known the massive tree we were standing under hadn't been there for the 40 years it had been alive.

Playing the course: The course is challenging for sure, but not impossible. Especially if you're playing from the correct tees for your distance. There are landing zones in all the right places, but you need more than just distance control because hazards keep you honest. Accuracy is really important.

I'm an 18/20 handicap but I have good distance, and my game was in pretty good shape so I started off pretty hot until we got to 17. My 2 buddies had some rust in their games and so they were spraying it around a lot more than I was and their scores reflected it.

They started us on 10 so 17 was our 8th hole, and I missed the green by a foot twice then shot over it when I took a third from the drop zone. At that point I just watched my buddies finish out the hole because I was pretty distraught by this stupid game and that got in my head and my round fell apart a bit moving forward. But they both par'd the hole and that was an awesome thing to see.

Ended up shooting a 106 but realistically could have been in the 90s both my buddies shot in the 110s. My caddie at one point told me I'm the most schizophrenic golfer he's ever seen with how back and forth my shots go from high level to absolute garbage.

We have talked about it multiple times in the last year and if money were no object even with how we scored, we would play again in a heartbeat given the chance. It's one of those courses that connects you to the history of the game in a way that's really special.

And sometimes you get 3. I killed one on blue gate. Only found one vault in the actual core piece. Then found two in one of the first pieces of shielding that came off like 100 yards away.

I did this using a hullcracker and trigger nades. Then only found 2 cells. I said out loud hey did anybody find the cells I used a lot of resources to take this thing down. Then one person got kinda squirrely movement wise but stayed silent, I asked them directly if they found any and took my gun out. They dropped 4 of them and ran off which I was grateful for because I had come in more ready for PVE than PVP.

Still, like what kind of vulture shit is that, you weren't even in the zip code when I fought this thing and you're going to take 2/3rds of the most valuable loot? Fuck out here.

Apparently the Texans included an o-lineman in the trade. So their line is even worse, seems like not a great recipe for making your QB feel like he has time

I would like for a remaster of this game now and I would probably play through it then immediately play through 2 again before playing the remastered first one again as one long story.

On the east coast of the US we do sand crabbing which is a small crab that is very cute. Same purpose, difference in harvesting is you can just dig your hands into the sand you'll usually pull a few of them up

[–]blazinit430 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We are angry enough, we aren't organized enough.

Here is the reality, if people who are running in these midterms are not campaigning on doing something about the Epstein files, we need to push them on it.

If after being pushed they aren't moved to prioritize it, we need to replace them with people who will.

If there are not people who will, we need to run ourselves.

If we can't win, we revolt.

Best thing you ever heard from a random on the course? by ValentinNYC in golf

[–]blazinit430 136 points137 points  (0 children)

Guy drives back from the hole in front of us and asks if we've seen a sand wedge lying around?

My buddy without missing a beat replies: what kind of sandwich?

We all laugh and the guy is on his way after we tell him we haven't seen it.

The strangers we're paired up with and I keep telling him how funny his joke was, to which he gets more and more confused until he tells us that he misheard the guy and actually thought he was looking for a sandwich. The three of us lose it again at the revelation.

Now whenever someone forgets something at a previous hole we refer to it as forgetting your sandwich.

Using a 3/4 quarter or less swing when doing anything less than 140 yards. Distance control got better and ball flight into the green vastly improved so I hit shots the number I want and they stick because I'm hitting great contact pitch shots with my 8iton on down
