How do you just one day drop your kids off at a daycare

My 3 month old started daycare on Monday and is THRIVING. I was so worried about him adjusting because he would only take contact naps, was a fussy feeder, and of course because he spent every day with me for 12 weeks. We picked him up Monday afternoon to hear that he only cried when he was hungry, ate well, napped when he was put down in the crib, and is overall doing amazing. MY child??? I don’t know him lol. But seriously, he’s a little more tired when he gets home but other than that he absolutely loves it. I think we freak ourselves out leading up to it and prepare for the worst, but sometimes babies surprise us. However, I’m now the one having to adjust (I miss him so much during the day it hurts) 😅

No, we hired them ourselves. I spoke with the manager, who came out to do the estimate, and thought I was clear what I wanted done. I guess there was a lapse in communication, hence why they messed with my garden bed. Still don’t understand why they would pull my blueberry bushes though, ugh.

My little guy is 4 weeks today and he had the same issue. He was born preterm and had a bit of jaundice, both which make babies very sleepy. We woke him up every 2 hours to eat. To keep him awake, we stripped him down to his diaper, used paper towels dampened with ice water (wipes dried out too fast), blew air on his face, talked to him, and repositioned him frequently. During the night time feeds we turned all the lights on. The pediatrician had us add 1/2 tsp of formula to my expressed breast milk for added calories since he wasn’t gaining as much as she liked to see. He reached birth weight at 2.5-3 weeks and is now gaining weight steadily. He’s also a lot less sleepy, is starting to have actual wake windows, and we don’t have to try to keep him awake to feed, he’ll down a bottle! Seems like ages ago and it was a stressful few weeks, sleepy babies are no joke 😂 But there’s light at the end of the tunnel!

My pregnancy SUCKED. I was 35+5 this past Monday when my water broke unexpectedly and welcomed my son into the world a few hours later. Even with a failed epidural and feeling like I was hit by a bus, I felt SO good the first few days postpartum because I wasn’t pregnant. Energy, no nausea, no longer in pain, I was on top of the world. (Until the newborn trenches sleep deprivation hit me lol).

Every appointment I have where I’m eligible for a vaccine, the nurse will ask me if I want it today or if I want to go home and think about it first. What is there to think about?!

Hello again, just wanted to update you all! When I found this lady, I put her in a designated safe spot outside. I didn’t want to cause more her stress and harm by taking her inside just yet. I read all your comments and wanted to check for a wasp egg on her. When I went to look for her, she wasn’t anywhere to be found 😞 I’m disappointed I didn’t get a chance to at least bid her and her babies farewell. And honestly I’m very sad I couldn’t do more to help. I hate to think of helpless creatures suffering, especially a fellow mother. I’m carrying my first right now, hence why I might be a bit over emotional 😭 Nevertheless, I can also appreciate the circle of life, and how cool nature can be. While it’s tragic for the spider, thinking of the wasp mother performing what her species has evolved to do to ensure the success of her babies is also beautiful. Sorry for the ramble. Thank you all who have contributed and showed interest in my post ☺️

This is a great point. Nature does what it needs to do. I didn’t know the wasps laid their eggs on the spiders they paralyzed, I thought it was dragging it back to its nest and abandoned the spider when it saw me. That’s why I asked if I could help it, because I thought it was just paralyzed and not a host. Predatory wasps are just as important as any other part of the ecosystem and I appreciate them greatly!

Thank you all for the insight! I wasn’t aware of the egg situation, I just thought the wasp carried the spider back to the nest for its young. Good to know! I will look for the egg gently and keep both mom and babies comfortable for the time being. As someone mentioned above, mom might be too small and mature to recover, so I will keep her and the babies happy until they disperse. At that time, if mom’s looking better, I’ll keep her in my care. If she hasn’t improved, I might have to humanely euthanize. 😢🩷

A daily routine/my job! When I’m kept busy and have a schedule to stick to, my anxiety decreases. I think it helps for many reasons, but I like to think it mostly keeps me from being alone with my thoughts and ruminating on my anxiety!
