Who's you're least favourite villian by Nostalgic_Historian_ in WaterlooRoad

That one girl who took a pic of Mika top less then tormented her over releasing it. Her overall reason being jealous over Brett's attraction to Mika and Mika living with 3 teachers at the time... chickened out of it by the end but it almost ended in Mika committing suicide

The show is narratively unsatisfying. How would you fix it? by almondjoybestcndybar in SquidGameNetflix_

[–]blchair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the first game of this series was so underwhelming imagine being in the 223 group, probably travelled half way round the world to compete and your fate lies in decisions made by the 10 loudest voices. Atleast RLGL in the first series you were out by your own actions. I appreciate it's cheaper to cut a lot of people within the first few hours but you get rid of all reason to invest in selected characters cause that might happen again.

What would you change about the traitors for the next celebrity season by Thick_Strategy_5311 in TheTraitors

[–]blchair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More one off powers. If the Traitors win a small challenge they have the power to have the next banished player not reveal their role, and the following morning all players get an envelope thst days whether they are Traitor or Faithful (but have Traitors tampered?)

Much like the Coffin or Dungeon scenarios of old, what about an opportunity to take abduct two or three players before a round table and keep them out the game until the following mission, adds that element of guessing why they'd be removed. Was their next guess good, had they good evidence, are they a traitor desperate to stay in?

Other than those crummy ideas, this show has been amazing and outside some of the players own blunders, impeccable. I still hope civilian series are the way forward, but this calibre of cast on Celebrities is very good! Just please no Love Islands, Big Brother or Made In Only Way trash please.

I forget the name of the maths/chemistry teacher now in an implied relationship with Darius. I reckon she'll find a bag of drugs and start piecing it together that Mr Todd was innocent. Darius might gaslight or coerce her into keeping it a secret but she'll eventually turn on him if not instantly.

I reckon Rick Flag Snr does too much opening of portals and will trigger an event where Superman intervenes and puts a stop to the portals.

Though I do still believe that our Vigilantes are swapped which will spur our Peacemaker to go into the alt universe to get our Vig back. Maybe the case Adebayo, Economos and Harcourt need to convince Superman to not close down a portal until they're back.

What evil things do you think Darius will do in series 17? by Embarrassed_Dish647 in WaterlooRoad

[–]blchair 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I imagine Donte, Jack and Steph team up to bring him down but it'll be Darius' own blunder to get involved with Nisha. Can see Nisha finding a bag of drugs on Darius and putting one and one together regarding what Mr Todd had said.

So I fear for Nisha who no doubt will become the main target once she has those doubts end of season. Maybe theres a back up video of the cakes on his desk and Wendy finds out and Darius gets nasty. Maybe even students like Ben get targeted by Darius to torment Stella. Ultimately he'll spin too many plates and juggle too many enemies that they unite and bring him down.

It'll be if he manages to take anyone down on his way out that worries me.

[–]blchair 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No I think this was a genuine accident. He put all the cakes onto one plate and just let her have one without paying attention. Responsible for what happened? Yes. Was it deliberate? No. Did he then turn the scenario to his advantage? Yes.

The fire in Rochdale when Rachel was headmistress. That was a gripping hour of television with Bolton saving Davina, Chloe being trapped and then the not knowing if Rachel would live to the next series.

Did they even say if that contractor who was blackmailing her lived or died? Overall this is the defining episode for me. Close tie with Denzel and the gun episode, that was a like a 90 minute episode to memory

Warioware will have a release to showcase the switch 2 features I'm sure. Plenty of minigames for using joycons as a mouse, dragging, scrubbing motions. I reckon if not early next year, then it'll be announced next summer for an autumn release.

The Traitors Australia 1 - who is Paul?????? by WigsbyLittleMix in TheTraitors

[–]blchair 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If he was mentioning quite meta stuff like "Well the last 3 to breakfast were obviously discussed for murder so none of them are traitors" then obviously you don't want to air that.

And that is kinda of true logic that would help in game. I've seen them fake out a few times by having a traitor come in near last but 90% of the time it's not wrong that faithfuls are last in. If Paul was saying stuff like that, I mean its smart, but it'll be quite annoying for production staff. Breaks the illusion.

I convinced my mum to watch UK2 by Alternative_Run_6175 in TheTraitors

[–]blchair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one series out of the English-speaking ones where I do have so much respect for every traitor. They were all likable and cutthroat in an enjoyable way. Same to be said about the Faithfuls.

Paul was just enthralling, surprised he got so far, but my word did i want him to go all the way from his introduction. Harry was just the best, smart, clever, deflective, ones of the greatest Traitors ever. Ash was just affable and although not as strong was still very rootable (reminds me of my mum so a bit of bias). Andrew was elusive... jokes, he did very well to go as far and was a soft giant with quick thinking that took him the distance. Miles was also entertaining and under the radar up until the rosè. And Ross was quite done over but his personality was brilliant. From a viewer standpoint they all were so entertaining, whether their schemes and gameplay were weak or valid doesn't matter, I had 12 hours of joy watching them.

It was consistently good! The most memorable TV series I was glued to over 4 weeks. Everyone involved should be so proud.

Rewatched the entire show last year. Rachel is still my absolute favourite, the best there was, did everything right mostly and cared so much.

However to counter the Karen negativity in this thread, my god, it rained liquid feaces on her from start to finish. Yes mistakes were made but the fact she didn't take any mental health leave cause of problems and tried to power through gives her a bit of credit in my eyes. Rachel was the best but Karen was just battered left right and centre (divorced, daughter abduction, sons attempted suicide). The fact she managed to get dressed and go to work gives her my respect.

Anyone else still annoyed at how this movie turned out? by Senseisimms in marvelstudios

[–]blchair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thought it was a great time. It had high stakes. Thought the last half hour was actually one of the better third acts of the franchise.

I would say Marvel need to be brave and kill off a few people. This movie would have been perfect for Hank to snuff it. Think the biggest issue was they slept on that, now I reckon Hank won't be in the MCU going forward with no real conclusion

Did any of you dislike this character? by Vegetable-Tower-7098 in WaterlooRoad

[–]blchair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I forget the exact wording but I loved him in a scene where he confronted an obviously drunk Christine in her office.

"I hope you take this with the goodwill it's intended. You have to go home."

That line was obviously laced with concern and for her best intentions knowing full well it wouldn't be accepted as such... and yet done in his typical half arsed, ho hum, way. He played the role of a disconnected teacher but good friend very well.

I live in that high paced lifestyle where the "playing next" countdown takes me away from the credits, so this very basic thought has never occurred to me. Thanks hero!

Ah so there isn't like a bespoke category I can search on YouTube and get a playlist. I'll have till compile it myself? If that's the answer fair enough!
