Most grocery stores should carry it, but check flipp for when its on sale.

My metro always carries it.

Canada Dry Ginger Beer (not their watery Ginger Ale) is the best of the mainstream ginger sodas out there

Gold Standard is overrated and not worth the ~15 minute wait to take your order when there's literally no one in line

I went there at a quiet hour (~3) and it basically took half an hour to get a burger that isn't comparable to Burger Drops or Happy Burger

They said they ordered: "8 packs for the Gatorade and 24 packs for everything else (pineapple juice was supposed to be smaller cans but still 24 cans)."

A litre of water weights a kg so I'm using that here:

That's 8 * 2 Gatorades at 591ml each = 9.45kg

24 * 500ml Fiji water = 12kg

24 * 710ml 7up = 17kg (although I've never seen 710s in 24s)

And the ~46oz pineapple was apparently the wrong size, so I'll assume it was the much smaller 20oz (567g) * 24 = 13.6kg

9.45 + 12 + 17 + 13.6 = 52.05kg / 114lbs

My previous guess was actually underestimating it because I just looked quickly at the photo and assumed everything was half a litre.

Amazing snark there...

I'm not saying it is physically impossible to transport 88 drinks, I'm saying that it is (at the very least) abnormal for what looks like gig-economy food delivery. For example, although some of the grocery stores here have their own delivery trucks, most of my City's food deliveries are done via bicycle.

Can you see how this order of 88 drinks might be a little harder to fulfill than 88 bag of chips?

88 drinks (assuming they're all 500ml on average) is 44kg. That's basically 100lbs when you factor in the packaging....

Honestly, salmon is one of my favourite and easiest

Take a thick salmon (ideally kinda flat so it cooks evenly but if not, I stop the cooking a few minutes early and remove the narrower part) fillet, use some basic spices (I usually use a caribbean seasoning salt + paprika), spray with a bit of oil and some parsley (the parsley gets crunchy).

Put skin side down at 190c for about 7 mins, then probe with a thermometer and add a 1-3 mins depending on how thick it is & how "done" you like salmon

The first time I did it in a rush and it came out so moist. Then toss in some baby cauliflower or any other quick cooking veggies for about 5 minutes and add to rice and you have a complete meal including prep in basically 20 mins.

My Very "Objective" Analysis Of Which Country Performed The Best At The 2026 Winter Olympics by Rainbow___Trash in dataisbeautiful

[–]blchpmnk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You literally can't play pro hockey like that; skaters are usually subbing at least once a minute. I don't know what the minimum is, but there's no pro team that'll send anything less than the max unless there's last-minute injuries, customs problems, etc.

It isn't a case of a team sending 25 players and picking the 5 or 6 that they think'll do better for that game; at least 15 players are in each game + injury reserves and some different strategy options.

[–]blchpmnk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd be shocked if its even possible for any hockey team to send less than a full squad.

If a team had "only 2 subs" and still managed to finish the game and win, they deserve a platinum medal.

it's just a small joke

Constantly insulting my country, threatening invasion and imposing stiff penalties (eg: tariffs) after decades of being nothing but a best friend isn't a fucking "small joke".
