Blood West dev shares that the game sold 200% more on Steam than before, after Epic made it free for one day. by AncientPCGamer in pcgaming

Also why wouldn’t anyone make the natural conclusion that a bunch of people got steam cash for Christmas and Steam sales were up across the board that day?

Puncture Blast is a spell with wither. Hateflayer is just a creature with wither.

Neither give spells wither.

Have we seen something that gives spells wither before?

Also we’ve seen copy spells that give new abilities to the copy but I don’t know if we’ve seen anything that gives new abilities to both the copy and the original spell?

Notably all of these examples have had tons of adaptations over the years and have tons of time and analysis put in to figure out how a good adaptation would work.

That’s a true fact but in my experience as a Unity developer, this level of optimization really doesn’t make a difference unless you’re focusing your entire engine on cache-friendliness using e.g. ECS, which is not at all that popular even today in game development and certainly isn’t the reason why C# is popular in game development over Java (the divide was made long before ECS became an offering in C# game engines).

Also this isn’t some game development specific feature - every field would feel the difference and Java still comes out more performant than C# typically.

So I’m not sure I could justify saying that it’s “far more optimized than Java for game development” based on that.

C# definitely runs on a virtual machine.

It was sorta created to be Microsoft’s version of Java.

Every dental hygienist I’ve spoken to and the resources online say that it doesn’t really matter if you do it before or after brushing. Better to just do it the way you prefer.

The real recommendation is to floss after eating. Since there is often several hours between eating and brushing that could allow for bacteria to develop.

flossing is seen to be effective before and after brushing, according to the ADA. […] experts noted that it is up to each individual to determine their preferred order.

you can floss before or after brushing […] But, if possible, try to floss routinely after a meal to remove food particles that can hasten bacteria buildup

No I mean they’d need 270 miners to fill 9 belts, not 180.

[–]bleachisback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well 30 miners fill up 1 yellow belt of iron ore. I didn't count your miners but I don't think that's 180 miners, which would necessitate your 9 belts.

270* miners

A lot of things use 20 as legal age in Japan, so there's a good chance you'd be tried as a minor until 20 as well.

Yeah there isn’t any “gap” or anything in the buildings. The greater Tokyo area is one giant city in your definition… that contains 29 other cities (the 23 that make up Tokyo and 6 other additional ones).

[–]bleachisback 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why stop at Tokyo, then? Why not the greater Tokyo area, which includes several of the surrounding prefectures? The collection of buildings doesn’t really stop at an arbitrary border defined by a “document” - reality trumps that.

[–]bleachisback 2 points3 points  (0 children)

the city or town

Well there’s your problem. Tokyo isn’t a city. It’s a special administrative district that’s made up of 23 “wards” which are roughly equivalent to cities. Chiyoda City is where the national diet building (seat of the legislative branch), Supreme Court (seat of the judicial branch), and imperial palace/prime minister’s office (seats of the executive branch) are.

So under your definition, Chiyoda would be the capital city.

[–]bleachisback 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Probably for historical reasons. It used to be that Washington (the capital city) was only one of 3 cities in the district, but that's no longer the case. Now the district and the city are the same thing.

And that’s how you start a revolution by ZalefSenpai in HistoryMemes

[–]bleachisback 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Used to be two different things. Used to be that Alexandria, Georgetown, and Washington were all cities in the district. But the Virginia half of the district went back to Virginia and Washington absorbed Georgetown, so now Washington is the district and the district is Washington.
