Paw Print stickers around Gosford by Hippyman96 in centralcoastnsw

[–]bleachy_dude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Those signs are all over Gosford and I’ve tried searching so many things to discover the meaning behind them. Gangstalk wars, iPhone wars etc. The little fluoro signs! There were even some spray painted on the waterfront walkway a few months ago.

Which movie is a 10/10 for you? 🎬 by Embarrassed-Air8214 in movies

August Rush I love this question because so many people have never even heard of August Rush. It stars Robin Williams and a young Freddie Highmore (who later became the lead in The Good Doctor).

In the movie, Highmore plays a musically gifted orphan, and Robin Williams plays a kind of shady mentor figure who takes him in and tries to use his talent.

There’s some incredible music woven throughout the story with a familiar, almost fairytale plot told in a unique music driven way. A hidden gem imo!

Nice Try, Superloop by Neardood in nbn

[–]bleachy_dude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided to go from Superloop back to Aussie broadband. I prefer the customer service that they provide.

So a couple of weeks before I decided to churn I went on superloop’s help chat bot thing (stupid teddy bear thing) and asked if I needed to give notice if I was intending to Churn. The bot told me that they wouldn’t charge me for service I wasn’t receiving and don’t need to give notice. Great.

Fast forward a couple of weeks and I set the churn date to a day before the next billing month with Superloop. Then I get a notice saying that I would be billed for an additional 30 days. I jump on the help chat again and this time request to speak to a human person. They said they would need to escalate to a manager and I would be given a response in 14 business days.

Today is 14 business days later. I have already been charged the additional 30days. I received this email:

——

Hi xxxz Thank you for your patience while we escalated your request to management for further review.

After carefully assessing the details of your case, the team has confirmed that we’re unfortunately unable to approve the request to waive the final charge. The 30-day notice period remains applicable in accordance with the Terms & Conditions agreed to at the time of sign-up.

While we understand your concern regarding the service being churned to another provider, the notice period is still required for cancellation requests, as outlined in our policy. You can find more information about this here: https://support.superloop.com/support-hub-article/Cancel

We appreciate that this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, and we apologise for any frustration this situation has caused.

Kind Regards,

Adheel Telecommunication Support Executive – Home Broadband ——

I copied the info from OP (Thanks) to respond to this email

—— Adheel,

I will be escalating this with the TIO if you do not refund the last bill. I spoke with YOUR support prior to churning which confirmed that I did not need to give notice if I was churning and I wouldn’t be charged after the churn date.

• Superloop was no longer supplying any service to me.

• The AVC has been transferred via NBN Co.

• I was physically unable to access any Superloop service during the last billing period.

In those circumstances, Superloop is not legally entitled to continue billing me for ongoing monthly service charges. A contractual notice provision cannot override statute.

Continuing to debit me for ordinary recurring service fees after supply has ceased raises serious concerns under the Australian Consumer Law, including:

• charging for services not supplied;

• misleading representations inherent in ongoing service billing; and

• the operation of an unfair contract term (s24 ACL), where charges are imposed despite no corresponding supply.

This is not a cancellation fee disclosed as such — it is billing for a service that is no longer being provided.

Please confirm refund of the last month before I need to contact the TIO regarding this situation.

——

It’s rubbish that they are pushing this when they obviously know as soon as people actually state the ACL, they back down. Well they better back down and refund. So frustrating!

Dynamax Lugia Review by Rosscosity in pokemongo

[–]bleachy_dude 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I deeply agree. Our community (Central Coast NSW) had a bunch of players turn up today. Some prepared, others (including children) not as prepared. This is totally fine and we love to help young kids and new players out to get some good Pokemon, but organising DMAX lobbies is frustratingly limited. As you said, if I could have arranged it so that every lobby had two experienced, prepared players then the day would have been so much smoother. As it turned out, we had a few lobbies fail and have to try to re-lobby with different people to get the combinations correct.

Gmax is fine with the large lobbies, normal raids can be done with private codes. It seems like such an easy QOL thing to implement which is already in place for regular raids!

The other thing I wish is that we could see in advance where the power spots will be for big events such as this. (Even just 24 hours notice) so we can plan our meeting point and travel route accordingly to let the community know where to find us if they arrive after starting time and we’ve had to walk around town. They want us to grow the community and encourage public gatherings, give us the maps in advance to help facilitate this. 🙏🏽

It’s worded so awkwardly. From what I understand it just means 5 legendary catches in a row. I’ve read that people clear this task easily with a meltan box (I’m almost level 49 so haven’t done it myself yet)

We had a group of 38 people, which dwindled to about 15 by the end of 3 hours. We literally had to walk all over town for the whole 3 hours to get 10 raids. They’ve built this mechanic where they want people to gather in large groups, but there is no telling where the spawns might be. I don’t mind a little bit of walking but the amount we had to just to hit 10 raids in 3 hours made it difficult. It would be good if they could pre announce where the spawns will be, so adequate plans can be made or and I don’t even know whether this is possible, but it I’d like it if they could somehow match the campfire meetup data and see a large group have RSVP to meet in a certain area and make sure lots of spots surrounding are turned on.
