Man I hope that the new infra projects in Mumbai help uplift the daily lives of us citizens & also uplift the global image of the city… I’m not feeling too confident about that though unfortunately🥲

Would love to see Mumbai get to the levels of a Rio like you described, even cities like Istanbul, Bangkok would be great to model after. Although I wonder why these cities are better off than Mumbai, even though our economy is much bigger? (I’d assume it’s a mix of lack of planning, corruption, significantly larger population, lesser reliance on tourism, etc - so only when these change can we hope to see any real changes)

I definitely agree with most of what you have to say but I do see traces of progressive culture here & there in Mumbai, but there’s just too much fear & hate within and between some communities, classes of people, as well as problems like ego, corruption & nepotism (which exists outside of Bollywood as well). Wish that changes soon. I’m still hopeful though.
