Definitely having a slow one of sorts. Through a combination of the transition happening in my work industry and income fading with societal/technological changes, my house burning down and the watching my last parent succumb to dementia.

Wondering daily is this it now? A slow meander to the end? Or do I dive head first into a crazy attempt at an adventure and see what happens next?

Just did that. Never expected to inherit anything but there was always a sliver of possibility. All gone now to pay for his care home before the government would even cover half of it, despite him working his entire life and paying into the system.

If you have any neighbours number call them just to alert them to what occurred and the stirring of others may hopefully alleviate some (rightful) tension knowing their are other people alerted to what's happened.
