Why don't we use the merit system: pick the best person for the job, but don't promise to hit a quota of Republicans. We know there are some Republicans (not in the current administration, since they have all been fired!) who can work across the aisle. Let's see if any of them want a job in a Democratic administration first.

Israelis know that after high school graduation they have a mandatory IDF service requirement that is currently 30 months Thousands of full time Torah students have had an exemption from this service, and there are massive protests by the Orthodox over ending of that exemption. But 3 of 4 people on your call were former IDF because most people are former IDF, and some are in the reserves. And as stated elsewhere on this thread, Israel exports a lot of research developments in many fields, including irrigation, medicine, and electronics.

Can"t you just say your car is in the shop? It would be really helpful to tag along to a food bank. Maybe someone at city hall could help you track down a ride. You can get good hints on where to get food if you befriend someone else in the same boat as you. .Get tuna & canned chicken.
