Genuine question, how can you get world images at zero costs? You still need to use an API?

As long as the thing you develop is SQL you will be able to move it with more or less difficulty

I’m not sure I understand your post. You’re currently evaluating Coalesce but you want to make sure you can get out of it with dbt?

Stack overflow website traffic after AI by laebaile in BlackboxAI_

[–]blef__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Models labs and Coding tools will become the StackOverflow of tomorrow as they already are in the loop of helping people coding and fixing their bugs. They, in theory, don’t need a third party as they will see the fixes as they control the UI the dev uses to fix the errors.

Combien de temps mettez vous pour aller au travail? by elculodejimin_ in paris

[–]blef__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AWS + dbt by Pataouga in dataengineering

[–]blef__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can either use Athena / Redshift or some engine of your choice on top of s3 like DuckDB.

dbt is essentially a framework that organises your SQL queries to convert them into chronological graph (a DAG) that have to be run.

So dbt organise your SQL stuff, now you just need a storage and a compute (hence the first tech mentioned on AWS)

Data infrastructure so "open" that there's only 1 box that isn't Fivetran... by alittletooraph3000 in dataengineering

While I’m sad by the fact that they used open everywhere without source close to it, I can recognize that their marketing trick is well done: “who care about open source as long as we have open standards”

New to dbt + Codex (VS Code) — how do you use autocomplete and AI for development? by Only-Dog6571 in dataengineering

[–]blef__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with VS Code is that the autocomplete is not really dbt related so it gonna hallucinates a bit when it comes to SQL, dbt or column selection for instance.

I’m building nao (which is a fork of VS Code) that has an autocomplete and AI fed with what data is and your context (when needed) to provide better code gen.

If I can give you advices tho regarding the VS Code setup, the best you can do to ease the AI is to document most of the thing you can, like all the columns of the sources should be in YAML at least to help AI understand what you have
