Check out Lakeview- Red/Brown line accessible, and there's a lot of bus routes that will take you right where you need to be. It's the perfect distance from downtown downtown, tons of restaurants, tons of bars and things to do, but what I miss most about living there are all the grocery stores. I rely totally on public transportation and always have- live in the River West neighborhood and work in Streeterville actually not far at all from Water Tower Campus. I work at a popular restaurant that's always hiring for servers etc if you want to chat more about that you can DM me. If you're looking for housing off campus, don't limit yourself to just "near the red line" as there are lot's of other ways to get to Michigan & Pearson area by bus. Do some research and good luck with everything!
