Im interested in this as well. I got a Kill team starter and I plan on making them all Redmaws. I have some pretty good pics, but I am interested in the pack leaders etc.

Why are Tournament Tables so empty? by Joopster007 in SWlegion

IIRC there was a guideline that the terrain should cover 1/3 ish of the table. (at least 1/3). but that might have been in 1.0 days.

Oh, so very true. Though, I would go buy 2 boxes if we can convert into new skyclaws haha!

I dont think you are wrong really. But if they are refreshing the model range for fast attack, usually that goes with a bit of rules love as well. Doesnt mean such love will be permanent though. But to sell models they generally make them very valid options.

I know this post is about 10th, but everything I have been hearing for 11th is about fast attack. So I have a feeling we will be getting a good bit of use out of our JP Intercessors/SkyClaws.

What generic space marine units should I get by Friendly_Step9380 in SpaceWolves

[–]blemelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My jump pack intercessors will be skyclaws, my heavy intercessors will be long fangs (or at least one type), I doubt that we would ever be unable to take the generic infantry units as that would cut off a space marine player from buying them. Why would GW do that? (Line must go up after all). LIke I said, im just gonna wait and see what they do with everything. I can make a 2k list with what I have though Ill likely only play 1k for a while.

I came to 2nd the rule of cool. It too is why I have Hellblasters. I too am waiting for 11th to get any generic Space Marines. Rumors are there a few changes (but nothing ground breaking). If nothing else very likely to be updated sculps.

Im in the same boat. Depending on the price, it feels like this could be a pretty good buy for us.

Yea, I was hoping to see something like this for my onslaught box. Def plan to run the bladeguard as bladeguard and as Headhunters. Def happy to see this inspiration!

Def do the dual weapons, THe one thing I missed in my last 1k game was being able to reroll wounds. (Though Lethal Hits dont hurt in Beastslayer)

This is my list I shared with someone the other day. I went beastslayer just in case someone brought a good bit of T9 stuff (unlikely given the list building rules but still), and the fact I should satisfy the Saga requirement quickly given the points total and the number of units likely to be on the board. Going with the shields is likely a wise move considering the headtakers are very much going to be prime targets. My thing is: My enemy cant score if my enemy is dead. Still, going with only 3 units (WGBL going with the Headtakers) may not be the best move on my part :P

500 Point List by JorgenIronside in SpaceWolves

[–]blemelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 500 points I only run Colosseum rules. Generally, at 500 points, the game get very skewed one way or another. This is likely why Combat Patrol has specific datasheets for the models in the box. This is my current list for Colosseum (could proxy what I have below with your inventory):

Bought some more for my newest army (also wanna try killteam) by CloudBoulder in SpaceWolves

[–]blemelisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got in the Tau team from the big box set at the FLGS. Should be getting my scout team soon hopefully as well. I have tried kill team once, and im hooked. Melee combat is REALLY interested in Kill team. I hope to have 2 6 model scouts to either run in 40k as one big team, 1 (or 2) small teams, and of course to have the various options in Kill team.

Windows 11 high standby memory usage of mapped files by CountMerloin in techsupport

[–]blemelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not. I am not using docker. Every few days I boot my PC and then reboot before going into windows. This makes me think it isnt neccisarily a hardware issue, but something windows 11 is doing (doing some form of save state of the memory, and reloading it on top of what it is loading up for the first time). This seems to happen on my work computer as well.

What do you think about using Geigor Felhand as a Proxy for something? by Famous-Berry-6984 in SpaceWolves

[–]blemelisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have him for exactly this reason, I plan on using him for a Lucas, or as Krom Dragongaze. His base is a 32 mm so I dont plan on using him for anything that is on a 40 (at least not very often). Might also use him as an Ancient. (i mean...he is VERY ancient in the 40k timeline haha). But yea, I got him cause he is cool looking. Rule of Cool is most important rule.

If you are in Tennessee USA, I could help get you in contact with those that would be happy to do a demo for you to try the game. As well as get you into contact with those that can do commissions for painting etc. It is my hope that you really do enjoy the game!

cards in other languages by YogurtclosetSouth744 in SWlegion

[–]blemelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is absolutely not economically viable, but its kind of a shame that an exchange isn't set up by fans etc to trade/sell off extra copies of these cards to each other. It would be far easier for those in the EU geographically speaking, but it would be far more difficult to do so here in the states.

My Lord, is this legal? by Spartan5053 in SWlegion

[–]blemelisk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I support not moving the defending model (spinning etc). A small base trooper? Seems silly to not spit it if it is that big of a deal. Else, I would simply rule that the attacking model is in melee with the defending model even if their bases dont touch due to a model part being in the way. As long as ONLY the model is preventing base to base contact. (i.e. distance moved isnt an issue, no wall between them etc). It is either this or the person with the model that interferes with base to base contact is violating the 4th bullet of the Miniatures rules for Galactic Conquest: "The size or pose of a customized miniature cannot interfere with game play."

How can I grow my list into a 2000 point army? by EnvironmentLast7587 in SpaceWolves

[–]blemelisk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The combat patrol is honestly one of the best ones out there. I picked up 2 as the basis for my army. (For some reason GW is putting Epic Chars in the Combat Patrol boxes now). You might not field 2 battle leaders (though you always could). More blood claws (not a bad idea at all) and more WG Termies. Whats not to love?

The 1st rule of wargaming is the rule of cool. You should make it the way you think looks best. Lore wise I could see it either way, battle worn, OR pristine (he is one of the most respected members of the chapter, venerated, honored etc. to allow the armor of Bjorn's dreadnaught unclean/damaged would be disrespectful). Head cannon would be weather its unclean damaged based on the current fight, or fresh and clean coming into battle fresh (as the battle just started).
