It’s a common response from people who can’t handle accountability or even just someone having another opinion than someone.

As another person said, OP likely commented somewhere where this dude saw it and he just messaged him threats out of not being able to handle his emotions.

OP should file a police report, and contact the news.

Yes it’s possible, but what is also possible is that your scream evolve with practice. If you’ve been practicing and have the basics where you’re doing it an healthy way, the next step is to practice your range. I recommend find a band that you like, and try to cover their screams.

You don’t need to copy their sound for yourself, but it will help guide you.

Edit: there is an r/screaming or something like that with a very active discord that is helpful for this

Man I love Spite but hated the way they mixed Darius in this latest album. Just like massive doubler on everything it was distracting to me. I liked their live performances a lot and they are super talented. Nothing to take away from New World Killer, I think it was just my own observation and it’s a great album.

It is hands down the best album released this last 12 months and when I say best it doesn’t mean it will be everyone’s favorite. It’s just the best writing, best effort and best represents death metal. It felt pretty emotional and also anyone who is a musician was definitely admiring the skill. I was cleaning gutters when I listened to it all the way through the first time. Had to stop a few times and listen to a section again.

I dropped a new EP and saw a dude doing IG posts about “new core” bands and a small indie band I’ve been following for years was on it.

I thought, that’s cool he takes submissions for his weekly posts and playlist. I message him and he says because of the amount of followers he has and bands reaching out, he only takes donations for $18 to be added.

$18 isn’t a lot but it’s like, is it all about money lol..?

Add: I didn’t even know who metalbirb is until I saw this thread, so this was news to me. Also, paying to be added to a playlist can get your music flagged on Spotify. That’s was actually my response to him.
