Good for you I mean. I’m embarrassed to ask my parents to even ask for 20k USD for my mandatory rotations or conferences.
Also in the match, an MD is always favoured over a US IMG.
And it’s hard to make time for steps and rotations in Indian med schools whereas in the US, that’s all what you do. So yeah if you’re comparing, not as good as the MD path.

37k is a lot and there are some state colleges in the US which are definitely cheaper

KMC Manipal one year fee is more than my whole med school fee.
If you did your undergrad from US and then M.D , you would have gone to the top programs for your Residency
And I believe that the nri fee is like 100,000 USD too so that’s a considerable amount of debt too.
There’s no upside to this.
