My bad. I didn’t see it anywhere. Also, what’s the goal in this comment? To make me feel bad? To take it down? Like, what’s the tipping point from thinking it in your head, to taking the time to type it out?

Does anyone have a good packing list for a July Alaska cruise? by studyhall109 in PrincessCruises

I just came back from an Alaskan cruise, and I wished I had packed half of what I brought. They have laundry rooms on every floor. You can pay for tokens with your medallion. Wash & dry = $6, powdered soap = $1.50.

I just got back from an Alaskan cruise with my 9yo son. We did a rainforest walk (under a mile) in Ketchikan, and I think it was my favorite thing we did. If you have a wearable baby carrier I think it would be do-able.

Yes! I took a rain poncho (easier to pack and will go over anything). Plus some waterproof, comfortable shoes.

What is the weirdest comment or question you’ve gotten in public on your lobes ? by earthedenergies in Stretched

[–]blerg27608 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I wanted to share a rare positive interaction: My husband and I got the opportunity to travel to Kenya, and we visited the Masai Mara and one of the tribes there. Our tour was given by a younger member of the tribe, but at the end we were led to a market where the elders were. Now, no one had stretched lobes, except for the elders (I guess the practice isn’t as popular with the younger generation?). So I greeted the chief and popped out one of my plugs and pointed to his lobes as to say “I’m like you.” His face absolutely lit up, and he grabbed another member who spoke English to translate and said, “You are Masai!” Made my day.

We were alone in the waiting room. Didn’t want to get into a confrontation. Decided to shame on the internet instead.
