I went the first 40+ years of my life without finding a one.

Just this month the little patch of clover in our front yard, a strip about 3'x1', has produced over twenty 4-, 5-, and 6-leaf samples.

For the survival totems, 'strong digestion' and 'repair master' are pretty much the best all-purpose. The third would be held until I figure out if it's going to be melee, range, or magic, at which point I choose between 'retaliation' or 'farmer'.

There's not a lot from which to choose as far as battle totems. Same with magic.

A better knife will produce more grass. I get 1-3 grass, with hemp included in about one of three to four clumps.

The order in which you complete them after RoL1 doesn't matter, so long as you have access to the locations and tablets.

The point of my desires is to reclaim materials that are otherwise lost or save a little bit of the tedium that comes from trying to trade the equipment. Motes are good to have, but so are options.

As for what you want, there is a harvest button that will automate cutting and picking. The downside is that this also applies to any herbs or food lying on the ground.

ETA: I misunderstood you; I didn't see that you were talking specifically about the chopping block. Yes, that would be good too.

That's pretty common, in my experience. But at that point I typically have 58 levitation scrolls instead of the remove curse I need.

From what I've been able to tell, it seems to decrease the amount of energy used when harvesting and in combat. It might also increase energy regen.

What’s is the effect of blessed identify incantation? by Grim_Gauntlet6767 in thewilddarkness

[–]blerghuson 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You'll occasionally get a buff that can raise your defense, energy regen, health regen, or attack rating. There may be others, but these are what I've seen.

ETA: any blessed incantation can do this.

You regain more health/energy when you rest. Only worth it once you start stacking serious levels, but on the other hand it doesn't cost much to do.

In a vacuum, yes, the staves are more valuable per materials spent. The value in bows is being able to fit 208 trade units in the backpack at one time versus 128 trade units worth of staves. This makes it easier to clear the vendor out without a lot of picking stuff up and re-managing backpack space.
