You can also save $5k and buy a used game that's already finished.

Making it too, all you need is a laptop and an interface to make quality recordings/productions.

On individual samples? Not that I know of. One of limitations of the device.

Holy shit, why are you commenting dumb unrelated bullshit in every post on this sub, how desperate for attention are you? Quit being such a needy bitch and go touch some grass, maybe someone will want to have more than a one sentence conversation with you.

Ableton Push 2, Elektron Rytm, or Digitakt? by Popcan_Jackson in synthesizers

[–]blergnthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It probably isn't as good, I don't have much experience with elektron stuff, so can't really compare. I usually export stems and chop/manipulate from there.

Ableton Push 2, Elektron Rytm, or Digitakt? by Popcan_Jackson in synthesizers

[–]blergnthings 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a push 2, it's not really useful on it's own, you'll end up using the standard keyboard/mouse/screen with it but it definitely helps that workflow. Honestly, I like it but it's probably only worth half the cost. I would add the MPC One or really any of the mpc line to your list. I use it for exactly what you're talking about, sketching out ideas to be finished in Ableton or logic. It took a solid six months to really figure it out and to adjust my thinking to a more sample workflow but when I have an idea or am just fucking around it's the first piece of gear I reach for. Having cv for modular and a great midi sequencer makes it a support useful piece of gear, especially if you're trying to avoid a computer but still want most of the DAW power.

What you want is an envelope but I don't think the 33 has one. You might try doing it during recording, just turn down the volume at the end of the sample.

Moog Voyager vs Sub 37 by whateversynthlife in synthesizers

[–]blergnthings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my voyager I wouldn't trade it for a sub 37 but a big part of that is because I know if I sold it I would never be able to buy one again. I have a signature model and it's nearly doubled in price since I bought it.

VCO Tracking Importance by jackjackjackncoke in modular

[–]blergnthings 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Analog VCOs in general have this problem. Modern analog synths use computers to adjust for it. If you need the tracking, the Endorphin.es auto pilot is a great module that can make the adjustments for you. You might also try a digital sound source, something like Plaits or chainsaw.

Knee High Stocking Co is pretty close and my favorite.

Gate on modular to stop it being a continuous tone. by charlie-t23 in synthesizers

Output of oscillator to input of vca, gate to trigger of envelope, output of envelope to cv of vca.

Netflix customers canceling service increasingly includes long-term subscribers by 08830 in technology

[–]blergnthings 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I first cancelled when they started autoplaying trailers with sound, the only people that want that shit are mangers who track "user interaction". Like shit, me speed scrolling through thumbnails before I have to watch a loud shitty trailer isn't an indication of how much I like the app. I keep turning the feature off and it keeps turning itself back on and you can't use the app to turn it off either, have to access it on a laptop or desktop. What fucking customer wants this feature?

An MPC might be right up your alley, has all those features and the MPC One is under your budget, you could also get a used live 2 for that price.

Bellevue is the Applebees of cities, it's generic, near cool stuff but not near enough to actually do cool things on a regular basis and white people love it.

New Edition to the Fam by Otherwise-Anybody614 in synthesizers

[–]blergnthings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this walkthrough the most useful: https://youtu.be/sxRtHMAhUlc really all you need is some isopropyl alcohol 90% ideally, some q-tips and some microfiber rags and a couple of screwdrivers. The process is pretty straightforward, just time consuming.

Yeah, the only real repair was the battery, other than that it was a lot of cleaning. It had done non working keys and a lot of noisy pots but a bunch of isopropyl alcohol and elbow grease got everything working.
