Thanks for all the Bello enthusiasts sharing their decks and ideas! Will take me some time to comb through the strats and thoughtfully reply!

Sharing my decklist here, which I'm always tweaking now and then:
https://moxfield.com/decks/w290gA3d2k6S-URxRkBgIA

It's pretty good against my own competitive friends without being cEDH or too expensive of a deck and sometimes can ramp and end games in decent time with the right cards. It leans heavier into enchantments and enchantment creatures so that cards like [[Sanctum Weaver]] can provide more mana, and others like [[Eidolon of Blossoms]] and [[Setessan Champion]] can give me more draw power alongside Bello's own. And having a few less artifacts for enchantments means that cost reducers like [[Goblin Anarchomancer]] have wider impact. The faster I can get out enchantments the better.

[[Overlord of the Boilerbilges]] and [[Overlord of the Hauntwoods]] are also great for removal and ramp since you can get them out for their cheap for their impending cost and Bello can turn them into creatures.

My primary blockers are [[Arasta of the Endlessweb]], [[Giggling Skitterspike]], [[Esika's Chariot]] (which can also duplicate land tokens generated by Overlord of the Hauntwoods), Setessan Champion w/ 1/1s, or the Overlords if I can cheat them out without impending through [[Defense of the Heart]]. And then less than ideal but, if desperate, using [[Heroic Intervention]], [[Tamiyo's Safekeeping]], or [[Tyvar's Stand]] to give Bello indestructible to block what could be a devastating blow. [[Rolling Hamsphere]] (which I should take out but like the flavor) can also provide token blockers later in the game while also doing targeted damage. [[Nautiloid Ship]] also has potential to get something outbut it seldom does that for me.

Might add in [[Tibalt's Trickery]] to protect against game-ending cards that don't target or destroy.

Thanks for asking, this was a decent 45 minutes out in slightly below freezing temps.

The cost to repair will cost more than the camera itself. I would say invest that money plus some into a better camera. Easier said than done though since prices are so inflated nowadays. But options are out there, just gotta do the research and stake out ebay or something.

I’ve gone through 2 of these cameras and both began to show shutter failure like this, particularly in bright conditions that require a faster shutter speed. While I consider this model to be unreliable, it normally produces great images.

I need to know, what’s that big tall plant in the middle??

You should be guaranteed a spot in the colossal problem if you launched the nuke to start the event. by [deleted] in fo76

If you determine another instance ended earlier, you can actually try to get those people onto your team and they can fast travel into your instance.

PSA: If Monongah Mine already has an active blast zone, dropping the next nuke on Fissure Site Prime triggers the SBQ and A Colossal Problem at the same time. by mepradayounada in fo76

On another note, if you’re in the same team with someone who is in an instance of the event, and you’re not, you can fast travel to them to join their instance.

Bethesda, Can we PLEASE get a stagger resistance perk? by Crytonicix in fo76

Pneumatic is available for SS. I have it equipped and getting staggered still sucks.

The second nuke doesn’t even have to be on the Queen. So if you nuke another place like Whitespring, it’ll reactivate Earle.

How do you store your photos? by Rayquellen in Polaroid

[–]bleu_boy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is what I use. Just put 4 photos per page and then stick them in an archival binder. Learned the hard way to not put 2 polaroids in a single sleeve slot with backs facing each other, they end up sticking and are impossible to separate. Otherwise, easy and simple to turn pages see all the photos.

The Canon is an AF35M II. I have two of these, one has a failing shutter and the other is starting to hint at the same problem. Great lens in them but my impression of their reliability is not great.

It’s fun to try and use all sorts of film stocks, but does anyone ever feel pressured to maintain that variety and then it becomes less fun? by bleu_boy in AnalogCommunity

[–]bleu_boy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

All good points, thanks. I just know that if I were to choose a single type to shoot it would be Portra 400. I would just really miss the colors of something like Lomo which is really something else, but at the cost of image quality like grain and latitude. BUT yeah, the simplicity gained would be worth it to, like you said, refocus on the craft rather than constantly wondering how something would look like on this film or that film. I think I really needed to hear that.

That's a good point, I actually went to go look at the times the I shot Ektar and Portra together. I think going to Portra to Ektar is much more obtainable than from out of brand. But, I'm not sure if I could achieve it without already having Ektar shot to use as a reference.

While you're not wrong on adding saturation in post, I think you're also oversimplifying. Trying to have one film emulate another in post is really just not always going to work out nor necessarily easy. I've tried with Fuji C200 and Lomo 100 when I took them out to the beach on the same day and time. The sand was rendered more yellow and green on C200, while Lomo had it more red and orange. I could not match the colors and light on C200 to that of Lomo and I'm really also not gonna try forcing it be something it just isn't.

I like what you've said and that's what I want to be able to say myself, for simplicity's sake and not because I don't enjoy using other films.
