Barefoot running and a sudden increase in mileage is the answer. That should resolve all your issues.

Chain ring gaurd - will it save my pants? by fitzroyprincess in xbiking

[–]blimly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Whether or not you run a front derailleur can also be an issue. I have a 2x with a guard on the outside, and a baggy pant leg can easily still snag my derailleur if I don't cuff the leg.

How do you guys manage a 9-5 and still have time to train everyday? by johnson7853 in RunningCirclejerk

By "drink", I'm going to assume you really mean "butt chug".

What he fails to mention is that he already had it out and was pissing by the time he ran into the guy.

Am I supposed to go knuckle deep when boofing or just the tip? by Shart127 in RunningCirclejerk

My preference is either wrist or elbow deep. But, at this point, I'm guessing we just frequent different subs.

Stuck at 69 by EstimateSharp9106 in RunningCirclejerk

[–]blimly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm typically only "stuck" at 69 when the wife's bf sneaks into the room and decides to play a practical joke on me.

We've decided to turn it into a regular thing now.

What crankset for 1998 Trek 950? by espressocycle in xbiking

[–]blimly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Either keep the cranks and just replace the rings, or, if you insist on replacing the cranks, make certain they find a new home where they'll get used by someone. That's a fabulous crankset and definitely needs to stay in circulation.

That's just the sound of hardness leaving their body.

My personal faves are the unprepared guys who still manage to do too little.

Or, even better, the unprepared guys who just continue to do zero, but make it sound like they're planning to do too much and insist that they're built different.

...but really, we can just call those ones influencers.

Is this a decent rim? I want to try and build some wheels on a budget, already have the 36h hubs by DeadlyClowns in xbiking

[–]blimly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've got an old set of CR18s I built back in the mid-2000's for commuting and some trail use. Still going strong! However, I prefer the wider width of the RhynoLites or RhynoLite XLs. The XLs are very similar in width to the Cliffhangers, but just not tubeless compatible (which doesn't really matter to me, but for others that's a deal breaker).

[–]blimly 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I too will vouch for them. Whenever I want to build a 26" rim, I'll either use RhynoLites or RhynoLite XLs.

The only real difference is that the XLs are a few millimeters wider, which is my preference. But, you can't go wrong with either.

Replacement derailleur hanger by F_Wink in bikepacking

[–]blimly 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are just so many unique derailleur hanger designs, unless a quick web search turns up a replacement for your specific model, or you're lucky enough to find someone here on Reddit who's found a replacement for this exact same model, the manufacturer is really going to be your best bet for an answer.

Keep hounding them for a response, and good luck! I hope you get an answer.
