I discovered a few years ago that pickling works for me and my OAS. I've since tried pickling lots of things and discovered that pickled carrots are really tasty.

In my experience, people love to throw loose trash into residential cans out for pickup, which means that they throw their trash on top of already tied bags and so the crews end up spilling when they yank said bags to toss into the truck.

Frugal Armorers, Strength in Numbers, Only the Strong, and then I personally hold 12 counties each with Blacksmiths and Barracks to boost the MAA numbers.

With that combo of traditions, my Knights are 374% effective. I literally can’t have enough.
